Is it just me or are our draft picks a bit snakebit the last couple yrs?
Eskimo said:Thing to remember - all of these guys except Peterman had injury histories in college that they went on to re-injure in the pros. You can add Al Johnson to this list as well.

if i remember right he was academically inelligable for atleast one whole year

Rogers reallly just makes me mad. i had high hopes for him. But i can see your point. Beriault, Peterman, and Thornton are real demonstrations of bad luck.
Cogan said:What blows me away is that the Cowboys are not the only team losing quality players to season/career ending knee injuries. The problem is league-wide. Some injuries are in other areas of the body, but if you just took away the knee problems, dozens of players a year would be on the field and not on ice, making the game a whole lot more interesting.
I bring this up because I can't understand why, with millions of dollars invested into some of the best athletes in the world, the NFL doesn't invest millions into creating a better knee pad. Better yet, something superior to the knee pad. Don't ask me what, I'm not an expert, but it would just seem to make sense to deal with the problem than to just throw another body in & put the damaged one into storage for a season/lifetime.
