Aw, Ro. Four years at the Sorbonne and this is what we get?
Muggles will get you nowhere esept a one-way ticket to Palookaville. Then one day you wake up, surrounded by marihuana needles and people hanging around in the hallway drinking Red Bull and wearing tank tops.

I thought we already knew this was going to happen? Why is it a shock?

Because he is literally playing for peanuts and he performs at a high level when he is on the field. This is the same reasoning for not cutting injured quality players. The knee jerk reaction is strong in this thread.

Why everyone is surprised and outraged is what I find so fascinating. There is a reason why he came so cheap people.

Well, they're outraged because our first 4 games involve 2 divisional opponents and 2 conference opponents and they wanted him to play.

The good news is, he's smoked himself out of basically any leverage he has for another 1 year next season. The league is shifting away from guys that have a problem with weed, just look at Gregory. He was one of the best, if not the best, pass rusher in the draft and he fell to 60. McClain will have little, if any, suitors after this suspension and his retiring fiasco previously. We can probably get him cheaper next year than we got him this year.

Charlotte is on the disciplinary oversight board. Jerry and Stephen are on various executive and competition committees. They had to know this was coming.

Explains the 50 LB they signed.

Lettuce not forget that the mansion arson is still being investigated so he might, um, half to take time off to assist the investigation. I hope that his cell phone show pings from L.A. or Chicago when the Alabama fire started.

This what I'd like to do to McClain right now! How could a guy that has all the physical gifts, playing for the best franchise in the world, and was given a second chance... go and ruin it...AGAIN!

I've been a supporter of McClain because it was obvious how his presence catapulted the way our defense performed last year. I was salivating at the thought of teaming him up with Sean Lee. I figured with those two roaming the middle of the field it would be dynamic, exciting, and down right scary for opponents. I ignored the fact that he always had an excuse NOT to practice, I shrugged my shoulders when I heard he wasn't rehabbing at Valley Ranch with everybody else, and I even defended him after others suspected foul play when his house burned down last year....NOT ANYMORE.

Sometimes we put up with the extra baggage when a player is as gifted as he is, but when a player (or anyone for that matter) isn't willing to help his self.. well then, move on. He's just not on the same page as the team. His lack of practice and carelessness could rub off on younger players and ruin the greatness that's being assembled by the front office. He's just not worth the risk anymore and I wont be upset if he's cut. Bye Felicia.

He's a real dummy. And I do mean stupid. He's already thrown away over 500k. Hes lost incentives for not working out. Thats an expensive dope habit. Cant fix stupid. Wish I had his talent. I could put down the bong for luxury and fame, no problem.

Fear not, guys, he's apologized:
"@RapSheet
Rolando McClain apologized, says he will not break rules in the future. Looks forward to W5, “when I hope to help my team beat the Patriots”
