too early to tell, but the early signs of his stats point to yes.

My god..do you know how to read?

Let's start out with winning playoff games and then talk about Superbowls.

This is like talking about going to Jupiter after we've already landed on Mars.

You get the award for "dumbest analogy of the year."

Congratulations.

Like I said. Do you know how to comprehend reading? I just said that think about this like it ALREADY happened. I never once asked if it COULD ever happen. It's a simple thing to understand. And yet you come back and blab "well he needs to win a playoff game first" It just boggles my mind...

Jon no offense...I get what you are trying to say, but using your logic we should not even be discussing playoff games we should be discussing week #1. We did not even make the playoffs last year much less win one.

The OP put a scenario out there and I think it is great for offseason fodder. Indulge and live a little. :)

I was debating this between a few of my buddies. Let's say Romo continues to put up his typical numbers. AKA 3600 yards,32 TD's 16 INT for the next 4-5 years. Puts him at age 33 or 34. He also gets 2 SB rings when he's all finished. Does he go into the HOF? I say yes. What do you think?

And the next day, WG will finally give in to my charms. There, now we're both dreaming.

Here's the problem w/ your arguement:

*IF* Romo keeps up his numbers, he won't win 2 SBs because he won't get out of December/January.

Dude if he wins 2 SB's its not even a question with his numbers.

LOLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The homerism is spewing from you.

Not only no... but hell no. He is too inconsistent and too old. Kurt Warner started late and led the greatest show on turf and AZ to the superbowl and he is not a gaurentee.

McFlubb has a better shot if he quit today than Romo would.
I think Warner is a lock right now.

4 or 5 more years at this pace with 2 SB rings? Of course he's a shoe in if those are the stats and facts when his career is over. What would Troy Aikman have on him if he had 5 more of those seasons and the 2 rings to prove he's a winner? Take into account almost half his career was in the salary cap era and there would be no question.

Look at it this way. Is Peyton Manning already HOF worthy? Yes.... If Romo would have those #'s and the rings then he'd at least have Mannings current #'s which make him just as credible.

This is a loaded question.

With those numbers, there is no doubt he will get into the Hall of Fame. Furthermore, the 2 Super Bowl Rings and how he plays in the Playoffs will be alot more important then a TD-Int Ratio of 32 to `6.

Honestly, the real question is can he continue to put up big numbers and of course, can he win a Super Bowl.
