Romo a HOF'er?

Look at it this way.

Brady was considered borderline HOF when he won his second SB and he never set the world on fire with his statistics in his short time at the helm until then.

When he won the third one, he was a "lock".

And then he got Randy Moss as a teammate.

Here's the problem w/ your arguement:

*IF* Romo keeps up his numbers, he won't win 2 SBs because he won't get out of December/January.

What do Romo's numbers (which are some of the best in the league since he's been playing) have to do with lack of playoff wins?

That Jupiter & Mars analogy has some competition on the dumb comment front.

This is a loaded question.

With those numbers, there is no doubt he will get into the Hall of Fame. Furthermore, the 2 Super Bowl Rings and how he plays in the Playoffs will be alot more important then a TD-Int Ratio of 32 to `6.

Honestly, the real question is can he continue to put up big numbers and of course, can he win a Super Bowl.

The "two Super Bowl rings" kinda took the suspense out of the whole thing. Plunkett is the lone exception, due to a lack of overwhelming reg season stats. A more honest hypothetical for Tony would assume one championship only, putting him in Phil Simms territory.

I was debating this between a few of my buddies. Let's say Romo continues to put up his typical numbers. AKA 3600 yards,32 TD's 16 INT for the next 4-5 years. Puts him at age 33 or 34. He also gets 2 SB rings when he's all finished. Does he go into the HOF? I say yes. What do you think?

Definately, maybe even a first ballot HOFer.

That's a VERY good point.

All seriousness aside. I'd put Romo in the HOF for nailing the bubbly blonde.

Gale Sayers, Chicago Bears, 1965 to 1971 to name one.

I should have put this in the OP but some of your need to stop with the "He needs to win a playoff game first" crap. I KNOW!!!!. This is just hypothetical. Gawd some of you are so bitter about something. I'm asking you a scenario, not the chances of him doing it. Step outside of that little box your in and think about it.

You can always go root for another team as nobody cares.

look at this dec/jan numbers.... if you wanna keep those numbers, go ahead.

I'd rather he try to improve on that first, then maybe the SBs will come

He is a shoe in for the Hall of Fame of overrated and will probably hold the record for broken dreams and shattered hopes of his fans. Somebody has been smokin with Quincy Carter to think romo will even come close to winning a Super Bowl as the qb on this team, much less wind up in Canton. Unless of course they open up that wing in Canton of the overrated.

If he continues to put up the numbers he is, and he wins just one Super Bowl, he's a lock in the HOF.

Reason being, he has the same career QB rating as Peyton Manning, who has only one Super Bowl win, and is a lock as a HOFer.

Romo would need AT LEAST another 7-8 years of high play and a superbowl victory in order to even make that comparison half way reasonable.

Right now, Romo isn't even close to being HOF worthy. He needs so many more years of high level play before he should even be considered.

I don't think he will make it. He's 29 and needs too many more good years, along with a handful of playoff wins and a Superbowl.

This thread is hysterical. Tony has the talent to go to the HOF. Now will he is just way too premature to know. He's still got an uphill battle.

Don't take this the wrong way but if you hate Romo so much and I say this because I've seen your posts please explain to me how come you have a "In Romo We Trust" picture? It doesn't make sense.
