This game is intended for the QB to shine. Think about it for a second. You can't hit the QB high, now they may look at not hitting the QB low in the off season. So now how are you supposed to hit him? So now the defense can't rattle the offensive line or they will call it on the defense. Used to be where you could jitter your body, or flinch, and cause a false start. So now you can't hit a receiver in the air, or smash him. Used to be in the Ronnie Lot days, the Darren Woodson days, and Charlie Waters days that you could knock the snot out of a receiver. That receiver would think twice about coming over the middle or jumping up to catch an amazing ball.
So now receivers aren't afraid of anything. Dez can go right up over people without having to worry about Roy Williams committing murder by killing him in the air. Megatron can go up without the threat of someone taking his legs out from under him. Now the corners are going for the interception instead of trying to kill the guy, and a 6'5 guy with amazing leaping ability will out jump everyone.
If you can't put up good numbers, 300 yard passing games several times a year with the rules in place today, you don't belong in the NFL. Not saying Romo isn't a good QB, just not a Super Bowl caliber QB, and last I checked, the goal is the Super Bowl, unless we've become the Bucs.
And by the way, I don't engage in arguments or debates anymore to prevent saying something that may get me banned, so I'll say what I have to say and move on to another thread. So
