If you look back over the past 19 regular season games (going back to the final game of 2013) Romo has been knocked out and missed games 3 different times with 3 different injuries.
  • Week 15 - 2013 against Washington: Missed the final game of the season due to a back injury against Washington
  • Week 8 - 2014 against Arizona. Missed a game due to a different back injury in the Washington Game
  • Week 2 - 2015
  • Week 2 - 2015 against the Eagles. Missing an extended amount of time due to fractured collarbone.
I begin to wonder if father time is catching up to Romo in the durability department. He is 35 years old and at some point your body just doesn't stand up to injuries like it did when you were in your 20s.

Maybe some of this is bad luck, however, I think it's a cause for concern going forward. I do think they'll need to draft a QB somewhere in rounds 1-3 next year and start preparing for the day Romo is either retired or prepare for Romo being out for extended periods of time.

The fractured Collarbone didn't happen because of his age, IMO.

The back stuff, yes.
A broken collar bone could happen to a 23 year old kid just as easily as it did Romo. The man doesn't have osteoporosis.

Of course it is.

Romo is definitely made of glass...the number of major injuries that he's had in his career is not the norm for a starting QB and it takes a toll. He's 35 but with the durability of a 65 year old these days. The time is right to draft his successor and have him sit for 2 years. The new QB won't be thrown into the fire unless he has to fill in for a Romo injury.

A clavicle injury is NOT related to durability at all, actually.
