For those pounding their chests after McFadden's performance, the question with him has always been his durability and remaining healthy game in and game out; unfortunately, he has been very prone to injury. Not his speed or ability to find the hole--------that's a given, he was a #1 pick. And he only had 4 carries for crying out loud.

So hold the anointing oil til we see how it goes in the REAL games. Maybe he can shock us like Murray did last year and make it through the season.

The only one pounding their chest seems to be you...why are you pounding your chest?

Lane, DEZ and Williams are going to be like Irvin and Harper !!!
Williams runs like Irvin after the catch.

Bryant is more like Harper

The catch that Williams took to the house tonight is the route that Dez should run 10 times a game...That crossing route is money.

No magicman that is not true.

Most people said Mcfadden just flat out can't play.

So please don't turn this into "wellllll we always knew he was really good but he just couldn't stay healthy".

Everyone has said his health is an issue but not everyone on this board believes in his talent.

The problem is if he continues to improve I doubt we would spend the money to resign him with Dez and Beasely already locked up for a few years. If he doesn't continue to improve then I doubt we want to resign him. So he's someone that I think plays out his current deal and then likely moves on, unless he's willing to take a hometown discount, which I wouldn't expect any player to ever take because its stupid for them to.

I don't think its stupid at all to take discount to play for your favorite team. Just think about you grew up as a Cowboys fan all your life and now your dream has come true. Whats even better is that your playing opposite side of Dez and Romo throwing you the ball. I can see him probably doing a contract extension to up until Romo retires. Heck, I really think he might just stick around. He will still get paid regardless even though he take the hometown discount.

Personally I think if we want to feature McFadden as a runner, we need a 3rd true HB and not Dunbar. Or you get rid of Clutts and add a 4th HB and keep Dunbar. I think if we want to sustain McFadden we need a true power runner on the roster

I mentioned this before and stated that McFadden was a better Dunbar and that it would be a waste of a spot if we kept Dunbar. Still believe we need a true power back that can grind out some yardage. Doesn't have to be a burner either. Just someone that can chew some time off the clock.

i felt good about todays game. romo and most of the ones did what they needed to do. they should some classic stuff. romo and mcfadden connected. that was very important to see. after that second TD i knew it was good time to take Romo out.

Was at the game and the Patterson return took the wind out of the stadium sails! Awful ST's. I hope we get this cleaned up as Philly ST's are there best overall unit IMO.

That was 100 perecnt on Dunbar... grrr

Seems like they were just going through the motions. Obviously, Garrett isn't scaring them into actually trying. At any rate, it's clearly obvious this offensive line doesn't possess anything resembling desire in the preseason.

That's a scary thought considering Romo was behind center.

Most just wanted to be better. Nothing personal

Understood. I never saw it as a personal affront to him, although it looks like he's doing just fine now.
I think his inconsistency was reasonably typical of youngsters who hadn't been fully developed as yet.
Understandably, Garrett made known his wish to see him "step it up." Looks like T-Will took it to heart.

I might be sorely mistaken on this but I can't help but wonder if the OL is ticked at the FO for letting Murray go.
They do appear to be extremely unmotivated. Perhaps it's just the preseason but let's hope it doesn't continue.

If that's the reason, they need their ***** kicked. We don't have time for that.
