Rodgers is great. He's definitely top 3 in the whole league. Tony isn't. I bet even Romo would say Aaron was the better QB.

Could have had Rodgers instead of Marcus Spears. but the fool Jerry chose to go with Drew Bledsoe and Romo. that's yet another Giant mistake by this franchise.

And how many other teams that need a QB could have had Rodgers that day?

Oh, you forgot to mention that the fool Jerry also missed out on Tom Brady. Another Giant mistake.

Its revealing in what it says.

I didnt go back and research all the Packers games to check up on the stat. It was referred to on The Herd. Its used in various articles written about AR's 4th quarter struggles. So w/o any good reason to question the accuracy of it I assume its true.

What it reveals is that the golden boy venerated most talented QB in the NFL has some flaws, just like Brady, Manning, Brees, etc.

Were people under the assumption he didn't?

This caught my interest so I did some research on this comparing Romo and Rodgers to Manning and Brady.

Rodgers
The Packers have lost 8 games by more than 8 points in his starts. (this counts Regular Season and Playoff games)
The Packers record in 1 score games (8 points or less) is 22-25
I didn't check the games the packers lost by more than 1 score to see if they were within 8 points at any point in the 4th quarter so at best Rodgers is 5-25 in Comeback Opportunities.

Manning
Colts/Broncos are 81 - 49 in 1 score games with Manning.
Again I didn't check for games Manning's teams lost by more than 8 points but were within 1 score at some point in the 4th quarter so at best his record in Comeback Opportunities is 40-49.

Brady
Patriots are 67-30 in 1 score games
I did check for losses by the Patriots where they were within 1 score at some point in the 4th quarter and found 5 additional losses so Brady is 31-35 in Comeback Opportunities.
I suspect that's the best % anyone with 100+ starts has in Comeback Opportunities. (but of course I could be wrong)

Romo
Cowboys are 28-31 in 1 score games
20 comeback wins so no better than 20-31 in comeback opportunities.

QBs get the credit but teams win games. The Comeback stat is nice piece of trivia but there's no reason to think it tells you more, or even as much as, the overall record of the QB. Even then so much depends on the quality of the teammates and coaches the QB has.
