I thought Percy had posted stats a while back that shockingly Rodger's 4th quarter passing stats were top 5.

Rodgers is overrated? Go back to playing in the toy box and leave the football talk to adults.

are you not paying attention to the talk in here? "Rodgers is the best qb in football"....also known as OVERRATED! He isnt the best qb in football.

Colin on the Terd was talking about Aaron Rodgers and how historically bad he is in the 4th quarter when trailing.

Rodgers is 0-18 when trailing teams that have better than a .500 record.

He is like 5-24 when his team is trailing by 1-8 pts in the 4th quarter.

Why wont the mediots talk about it?

Its not even April 1st!

That's up for debate, he's certainly top 3 and when you are top 3 in your profession, in no way possible can you be considered overrated.

Rogers is overrated, Brees is overrated, Wilson is overrated. Heck, why give credit to any quarterback who's had success? Tony Romo is the greatest quarterback in the league today, in Cowboys history and possibly in the history of American football.

I was listening too. He was saying that Tony performs better than Rogers when his team is behind. Numbers don't lie. Rogers skill set is better than Tony. Rogers is exceptional when he has the lead, but is not as good when he has to come back from a deficit. Tony has a better record than Rogers bringing his team back from a deficit. Numbers don't lie. Rogers is more talented than Tony. But Tony has a better record of bringing his team back from 7 points or less.

Every good quarterback has strengths and weaknesses. Some just want to put them in a box and check off that they're great if they win Super Bowls. Those quarterbacks generally have more strengths than weaknesses and a team that does the right things to help them get the ring.

That's one reason these debates over who is better will always be fruitless. None of them have to be better than the others in all areas. They just have to be good enough at their job that they can succeed when the opportunity presents itself.

I like Rodgers better too.
But you have to be one the dimmest posters to grace this site in some time.
Take a bow. It's kind of an honor, given the competition.

If we can't build a defense we might as well go after a player that can trump a defense. With our weapons and o line Rodgers will have a field day. Oh yeah did we also forget the fact Rodgers oline is one of the worst???? This is all fantasy GM talk but I would seriously do it at this point.

wow 3 more Super Bowls. Silly Jerry. why didn't you trade the farm? Rogers to Bryant forever. All those scrubs we signed last season on the Dline...they could have rings on each finger. No need to have any 1st day picks when Rodgers is in our neighborhood!

We would have to keep Bryant, the deal is for draft picks straight up,all #1's.Might as well use them on a proven gamer instead of these scrubs JJ trade up for and UDFAs.

I don't think I would go this far. No way would I trade our next 3 first rounders for anyone out there. If that player comes in here and falls on his face, that sets your franchise back a long ways. We have seen it happen here a few times in the last decade plus.

This franchise has already been set back 20 years! !!! Almost 5 years without a playoff berth! !!! Don't use the Fact we have Romo makes a difference. Because if it did we would have been to the playoffs by now.

I love these threads about something said on ESPN that no one here ever listens to.

Rodgers was unquestionably the most valuable player in the league until Andrew Luck came along.

Fabricated statistic. Like all the "1st player to have x points, rebounds, assists while fouling out in the 3rd quarter since the ABA merger" type nonsense ESPN puts on every sportscenter.

Every QB will have a bad record when trailing by 1-8 points in the 4th quarter against winning teams.

If choking is winning 3 road games then throwing for 300 yds and 3 tds against the best defense in football to win a super bowl, then the Cowboys need to learn how to choke properly.

If the argument is which QB is better? I go with Rogers. I'm a huge Romo fan, but Rogers consistently a top 5 QB. What I gain from the 0-16 against .500 or above teams is that it is hard to play from behind in games when you are forced to pass and are 1 dimensional. Defenses can pin their ears back and scheme easier. Romo has been pretty good in many tight games. He had the top 4th quarter rating at 102.

However, he will be a whipping boy. Why? He is the face of the franchise. Fans are sick of following a mediocre franchise. They unfairly criticize Romo because of that. The margin of error is low for Romo. He can throw for 500 yards and 5 TD's, leading an offense to 48 points and still lose the game with 1 INT. Manning also threw an INT that game. Most QB's would take a 5 to 1 INT ratio. I know that Stephen A. will say "its when he threw the INT." However, if he throws an INT at any point, they still lose the game. Denver never punted. This is one game. However, we could point out the Detroit game, in which he had the lead in the fourth only to watch the defense fold with 51 seconds. We can see huge leads diminish because of either an inability to run the ball or the fortitude to run the ball. Romo has his warts. He certainly is not perfect. I would love to have Peyton (maybe a tad younger) or Andrew Luck as our QB. Still he is a gun slinger and one of the reason that we are in most games. With being a gun slinger (he will throw INT's). Still a 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio is pretty good and the least of our worries (31 TD's to 10 INT's).

If we run effectively and efficiently, we should be able to protect leads better. I have high hopes this year for our running game. It still won't make a difference though if our defense doesn't get off the field.
