rodgers is overrated. he got lucky like sheli did

Rodgers is a vastly overrated quarterback. The same dim-witted Romo haters who say Romo's QB rating is bogus worship Rodgers for his inflated rating and padded stats. If my grandpa came in the league and never ever threw a risky pass and took tons of sacks in the process (Rodgers has taken over 220 sacks since he became a starter, which don't hurt his rating) he would have a high rating too.

While I think the 0-18 stat quoted in the OP is mostly nonsense, it does not surprise me one bit. Rodgers has always been a front-running system quarterback with no adversity to face. He sat three entire seasons behind a Hall of Famer, he's played his entire career under the same coach (who also happens to be one of the great offensive minds in the game) and has a great organization who has invested deeply in the passing game. Rodgers is probably the most physically talented QB in the league, but he is not anywhere the creator that say Tony or Big Ben is and it doesn't surprise me at all that when the wheels are falling off at the end he comes up small. Somebody wake me up when he has more playoff "wins" at Lambeau than Eli. Front running stat padder.

Please, Everyone knows Rodgers talent is at the top. But he did go on a "Flacco" run to win the superbowl and has done what? nothing? That's right nothing since. Stats are usually misleading in lots of ways. I don't know about EVERYTHING PERFECT, but a defense not in the 30's would be a start.

Lol he went 15-1 won an MVP and has made the playoffs. What has Romo done? And I like Romo

Colin on the Terd was talking about Aaron Rodgers and how historically bad he is in the 4th quarter when trailing.

Rodgers is 0-18 when trailing teams that have better than a .500 record.

He is like 5-24 when his team is trailing by 1-8 pts in the 4th quarter.

Why wont the mediots talk about it?

No way. I love Romo, but no freaking way.

OK. My 2cents on Tony and Aaaron.
You know the confidence Tony, Jason and Dez have with each other?
Well, it seems GreenBay can throw any receiver off the street out there with Aaron and their is an immediate rapport that results in completed pass success.

Every good quarterback has strengths and weaknesses. Some just want to put them in a box and check off that they're great if they win Super Bowls. Those quarterbacks generally have more strengths than weaknesses and a team that does the right things to help them get the ring.

That's one reason these debates over who is better will always be fruitless. None of them have to be better than the others in all areas. They just have to be good enough at their job that they can succeed when the opportunity presents itself.

...and that's exactly what Colin was saying. He said the media won't talk about Rogers weaknesses because they like him. Doesn't mean he's a bad QB, but everybody has something.

Well, lets see. Not as much as:
Mark Rypien
Trent Dilfer
Doug Williams
Joe Flacco
E-Lie
Phil Simms
Ken Stabler
Joe Theismann
Jim McMahon
Jeff Hostetler
Brad Johnson
Jim Plunkett
Bob Griese
Joe Namath

Because all of these guys have rings! They're winners!

The OP has a valid point as far as what can be inferred from 4th quarter stats. Unfortunately for Romo, a SB will mask the choker label. Also being on a beloved franchise and not on the most hated one (although most loved as well) is not a detriment either.

I'm not saying that just the Super Bowl makes Rodgers better, but the Super Bowl combined with his stats, MVP, and overall success in the playoffs and regular season together do. This argument is so stupid that these posts make it sound like I am attacking Romo, when in reality I have no issue with him. But saying Romo is better than Rodgers is ridiculous.

If we had Aaron Rodgers we would have 3super bowls right now regardless of how bad our D is. I'm down for trading all our first rounders for the next 3 year's for him. Its obvious JJ will not draft a defensive lineman to save his life.
Well, if you're ganna to do it might as well do it right..lol...problem is you just lost a few..lol
