There is a difference between Romo being better than Rodgers and Romo being better than Rodgers in the 4th quarter.
Personally I don't care. I care about the bottom line as should all of us. Everyone wants to nic pic every little facet of someone's game instead of having a conclusion based on the entire body of work. The question is, did your team win with you at QB or not? We don't care about come back victories, yards, touch downs, fumbles, interceptions, we care about if a team can win with you behind QB.

Now Saturday, behind our great line, Romo still continues to have slow reads. He holds the ball too long and refuses to throw it away to avoid unnecessary sacks. Dude will never learn even if you build the wall of China around him.

Though I do not agree necessarily with the post title but saying Rodgers had no defense is disingenuous at best. If being 5th in total yards and 2nd in points allowed is your idea of not having a defense I'd hate to see what your standards are for a D.

Wonder why nobody has responded to this after 5 pages? The same folks always cry out "Rogers won without a defense", but clam up as soon as someone reminds them of this...

The line was great Saturday?

I love Romo, I think he is a top 7 QB in the league but he is no Rodgers; he´s right there with Payton and Brady as the game´s best.

Romo is better than Rodgers. I would take him over Rodgers any day of the week, 367 days a year and even in between days

Seriously, why is this being debated? This is mind boggling.

It's not mind boggling .... it's revealing.

Colin also spoke about RG3. Who's also being exposed this year. The media doesn't speak ill of him either because they like him. Colin said he's average.

I listen to "Talkin Commanders" for entertaining and you should hear the excuses they're making for his Preseason play thus far. He was suppose to be the best athlete since the beginning of time. Redefining the QB position. Shanahan designed an offense to enhance his skill set. Now that Shanahan is gone, and they are asking him to be a "normal" QB, he can't do it. The media is saying "oh, it takes time to learn how to be a pocket QB.... it takes time to learn how to slide... (insert lady voice)" what?????

Colin also said Mark Sanchez is better than Foles .... well that's left to be seen.

Please just stop. Rodgers won a super bowl without a defense. Romo has to have EVERYTHING around him PERFECT in order to just sniff the playoffs. Not even in the same league, except salary unfortunately.

A defense that led the league in takeaways and had the second fewest points allowed? Why no one mentions that.

Rodgers is overrated. I think he's a damn good QB but, he's overrated. He's not in my top 5.

This is the reason you can't have a substantive dialogue when it comes to Tony's QB career because I haven't read anywhere in here where the conversation started with "Romo is better than Rogers". There's a limit to some peoples thought process.

It doesnt fit the narrative or agenda.

To fit the agenda, there is a selection process of what is used to support said agenda, and what is ignored to fit said agenda.

And in the manual for the selective process of agenda fitting stats/facts, it says when all or any support of said agenda is refuted, quickly go to the RING argument as a fail safe tactic.

Please, Everyone knows Rodgers talent is at the top. But he did go on a "Flacco" run to win the superbowl and has done what? nothing? That's right nothing since. Stats are usually misleading in lots of ways. I don't know about EVERYTHING PERFECT, but a defense not in the 30's would be a start.
Let me end this. ask every GM in the NFL who they would take even before the back injury. and everyone except Jerry the fool would take Rodgers. not even close. there's only 1 NFL GM dumb enough to take Romo. JERRY JONES!

I don't know. Rodgers is a great QB but people act like he carried the team that year.

Well, if you're ganna to do it might as well do it right..lol...problem is you just lost a few..lol

I wonder what JJ is going to do to fix the dline the next following week. We need 2 solid pieces to mAke this dline NFL caliber. But I guest JJ will do what he normally do, bring in more cast offs.

They're equals in my mind. Each have their own faults but, I don't see how anyone could greater than less than the other. The reality is The Green Bay Packers in general over the past decade have been better than Dallas and it's not even close. From coaching to talent.

And to think, the Cowboys could have had Aaron Rodgers if Bill Parcells wasn't so smitten by Marcus Spears. Remember, in 2005 Romo had yet to take a snap....

But I think, given the way this team is structured, Romo is a better fit. Not a better QB, a better fit.
