I still haven't given up on Romo, but as far as I'm concerned he's not in Rothlisberger's and Eli's league. Eli impressed me with his poise under pressure, completing key passes and producing no turnovers.

Say what you will about Eli, but he's a good quarterback and, at this point, more mature in his quarterbacking skills than Romo.

Let the outrage begin. :D

He isn't a first round QB... and it shows.

Qb's are drafted high for a reason. Talent and potential. Sure there are busts, but the studs of the league go round one

Draft one Jerry!

Romo had a bad game no excuses. He clearly was not better that Eli last night. If you don't think Eli or Ben will have games simular to what Romo had last night then your wrong.

Maybe not Big Ben but definitely Eli.

I'm as mad as anyone about last night but I still haven't allowed that to turn me stupid.

I use to argue that Romo was better than Eli... boy was I wrong.

They are both superior to turnover T. Not even close

I usually agree with you. But manning was fabulous last night.

IN that environment he was about as composed as possible, backed up inside the 20 and it didnt phase him one bit. He stood in there and there absolutely perfect passes.

He has been around the same staff since he came into the league, they added chris palmer in 07 an outstanding coach. Eli has been coached to be better and he has worked on it and it shows through and through.

His throws were flat out perfect last night. He is the better qb as much as it pains me to say and I really dont think there is a debate anymore.

What pressure was Eli under? He was totally unmolested all game. You saw what happened last year when we sacked him 8 times, right? He was a different player when harassed.

Bash Romo for stinking up the place, but don't lose your head. Quincy Carter would've had a good game against our defense last night.

When have Eli and Ben give up games they should have clearly won. This game should have been no contest. 24 points were scored off turnovers. 24!!!!

Three by Romo. Granted, one was a fluke. But the other two were on him, especially the last interception that he had no business throwing.

That's just inexcuseable, especially in a big game like this. Yes, it was only the second game of the season, but this was the Cowboys debut in their new stadium.

Yes, Eli and Ben will have bad games, but these multiple turnover games seem to be more common to Romo than either Eli or Ben. I'll be happy to be proven wrong with some stats, but that's the way I see it from here.

I have been saying this for 2 years now.

Romo isn't even fit to be in the same room with Eli. We have the 3rd-best QB in the NFC East, and there's about a dozen QBs I'd rather have than Turnover Tony.

What pressure was Romo under when he punted to the Giants?

Those stupid mistakes happen more with him than with the other quarterbacks.

Please list them so the homers can disagree with them.

Our coverage and pass rush couldn't have been worse. The entire Giants team had a horseshoe up their butt. These games happen. But I'm not about to let that erase my memory of the entire body of work of these two QBs.

Yeah, we should have drafted that first round stud Quinn right? :lmao2:

Also, Tom Brady sucks because he clearly wasn't a first round stud.

I love romo. I absolutely stand behind him 110%. We can win and win big with him.

However, Eli has grown and become an outstanding player. It helps that kevin gilbride owns wade phillips, but that is because manning finishes the plays.

You just cant say enough about manning being backed up and completing third down throws last night.

Oh, you mean the body of work where one QB has playoff victories and a history of coming up big in games where it mattered and the other one has a history of folding down the stretch and handing the football to the other team?

Yeah, that's not erased from my memory either.

Eli has a better infrastructure. Good post.

Romo is just so frustrating. When he's on there are probably only 2-3 other QBs that are better, but then he'll throw in these clunkers and it just makes you lose faith. Does anyone truly believe he can play mistake free football in 3-4 straight playoff games?
