i'm extremely disappointed in romo. he is a better than average qb but he has some mental issues. he chokes, pretty clearly. i'm not sure how long we can wait for him to get past those issues but he's running out of time.
You think??

No matter how bad Romo played, he still had this team in position to win, and the lead with 4 minutes left in the game. Of coarse the defense caved once again.

As poor as Romo played the secondary is just as big of a conearn as anything.

ITs on Romo now. He has to show that he can come up big in big games.

Still he is better then eli. BUT he needs to step up.

Eli had great protection and they had great playcalling. Romo played bad and had bad playcalling and great protection.

BUT for all you on Sheli and the midgets jocks think about this:

THEY NEEDED a last minute field goal to win despite getting 4 TURNOVERS one of which was a pick 6

I still haven't given up on Romo, but as far as I'm concerned he's not in Rothlisberger's and Eli's league. Eli impressed me with his poise under pressure, completing key passes and producing no turnovers.

Say what you will about Eli, but he's a good quarterback and, at this point, more mature in his quarterbacking skills than Romo.

Let the outrage begin. :D

Its unfortunate. I dont see Romo changing his stripes.

All the talk about how he has changed and he will take care of ball. Then more of the same.

Say what you want about Ben and Eli but they have gotten it done. Ben could end up with another ring or two. Eli could maybe get another before he is done.

Romo cant even "drive the bus" when necessary... Eli and Ben have proven they can when they need to and its paid off dividends.

Romo has that Junior Favre in him and it turns my stomach. I was in disbelief watching that mess LIVE at the stadium. I wasnt the only one either.

Man sorry you wasted your time and money for that pathetic performance but I bet the stadium is awesome in person!

Well I will be honest. I have gone when they have lost before. I can deal with that. But yesterday has win written all over it. That is what I am pissed about.

Let me tell you... the fans tried. When Dallas was on D, especially with Giants going for 3rd and whatever. The stadium was deafening. And you know what Eli wasnt fazed. Amazing.

The Stadium was great. A real mammoth. Everything done BIG, like Texas boasts. LOL

I did find myself watching the game on the video board. I had to force myself to watch the field.

Great hanging with the guys and going to the game. A win would have been nice... it was right there.

The fan were great last night, watching from my coach I could tell that... Yeah hanging with fellow Cowboy fans is the best part of tailgating.

People keep saying Romo's mistakes led to scores but I count 10 points worth that were fatal mistakes. The Witten play was a heavy price to pay for that poorly thrown ball. The deep pass was crap but the Giants took over on the 25 and promptly embarassed our secondary. If we did not throw the pick and instead punted, it would have resulted in the same field position. Like the Buffalo game of 2 years ago (I think), at least Romo cleaned up his mess for the win. He left it perfect for the defense and they stunk. We got zero turnovers and still got 31 points on them. Romo is not better than Ben but I would take him over Eli. We actually need a QB that has Romo's upside until we can rely on the defense. More times than not, Romo will need to rescue the game due to the defense. I admit most Giants fans would choose Eli but they can have him. On this team, throwing to our corps, with our coach, Eli would look like Jason Campbell.

What upside??? how old is romo? Like 28....This is it folks. What you see is what you get... an occassionally spectacular qb who can put up some big numbers - but can't finish a season or a big game. It's not an aberation at this point... it's a pattern. Dallas will continue to limp along with 9-7 seasons until they finally get rid of Romo. Then, who knows?

Like I said, using selective time frames is fun. (Still, only two of them have Romo beaten by more than one win.)

Next shall we try, say, their past 26 starts?

You could also tell me that the chemical composition of a turd isn't much different than the dirt in my front yard. It is obvious that this team is rudderless with Romo at the helm.

What pressure was Eli under? He was totally unmolested all game. You saw what happened last year when we sacked him 8 times, right? He was a different player when harassed.

Bash Romo for stinking up the place, but don't lose your head. Quincy Carter would've had a good game against our defense last night.

LoL Romo wasn't pressured and he stunk up the place. I don't want to say it either but to argue the point of Romo being better than any QB is starting to get outrageous and I bet if you try to argue it to a fan of either they'll just point to their ring finger.

Since Romo took over as our starter, he's had nine multiple-pick games. Eli and Roethlisberger have had 13 apiece in the same timeframe.

Keep in mind that Romo was a former undrafted rookie (in 2003) who had never started (and had barely even played) before then, while Eli was a former No. 1 overall draft pick (2004) who had started 30 games before then, and Roethlisberger was a former 11th overall pick (2004) who had started 36 games before then.

But I'm sure that extra season Romo had in 2003 as a third-stringer far outweighs the 30-plus games of starting experience those guys had before Romo became our starter.

It doesn't matter where you're drafted if you're getting starter money and paid as a top QB in the league. The type of money he's getting paid negates any type of oh he was an UDFA.

How in the world do you come to that conclusion? Despite being high first-round picks and having more experience, they both have more multiple-interception games during the same period of time. Roethlisberger already has one this season, just like Romo. I'm sure Manning will have a few this season, too, given that he's done it twice in his past six games.

My point was in reference to this statement by you:

But I'm sure that extra season Romo had in 2003 as a third-stringer far outweighs the 30-plus games of starting experience those guys had before Romo became the starter.

Were you being facetious? It seems like you're defending Romo because he hasn't started as many games as Eli and Roethisberger. If so, that's fine. But that would suggest also that they are better at this stage of their career because of their experience than Romo is. My statement initially is that I believe Romo isn't better than the two at this point in time. Doesn't mean he (Romo) doesn't have the talent. He's just not where they are, and I suspect more than anything, it has to do with the coaching.

Selective time frames are always fun! (Nice job starting with the end of a seven-game winning streak.) Let me try it. Drew Brees is 10-9 in his past 19 starts. Kurt Warner is 9-7 in his past 16 starts. Eli Manning is 3-4 in his past seven starts. Tom Brady is 2-2 in his past four starts. Philip Rivers is 10-11 in his past 21 starts. Aaron Rodgers is 5-11 in his past 16 starts. Donovan McNabb is 25-21-1 in his past 47 starts.

I think you made my point with respect to stats and how they have to be analyzed. :)

This entire debate is quickly becoming MOOT!

Tony "Uh, Oh" Romo, is not stable enough to be a winning NFL QB-
at least not yet.
He has the potential, but time's a wastin' on getting it done.

The biggest Cowboy HOMER in the world would have to concede that point
at this time.

Ben & Eli are therefore BETTER than Romo, & its not even close.

Agreed, it has to come to a point when the execuses have to stop. Is Tony Romo a good QB yes. Do Eli and Pitt benefit from a good defense and run games yes. Have Eli and Ben won it the post season yes. Romo hasn't. Romo needs to get over that hump before we even start to compare.
