ROMO complimenting Bledsoe

Bledsoe never has been particularly fond of the mentor role. He didn't want to do it in New England for Tom Brady, and he didn't want to do it in Buffalo for J.P. Losman. The Patriots traded Bledsoe after winning a Super Bowl with Brady, and the Bills released him after deciding to go with Losman as their starter. Bledsoe wasn't happy with Parcells's decision to demote him but vowed not to make waves, and Romo said that Bledsoe approached him before the game Sunday and told him that he was rooting for him.
"He's a very classy guy," Romo said.

ROMO quote on Bledsoe.....had not seen this Zoners.....did any of you?

Bledsoe knows it's time to hang it up. His time has past and I think he's come to terms with his own mortality.

Actually..I think everybody is very premature writing Bledsoe off. I think he's still a viable answer for us later if Romo is injured or hits a wall for us...which can happen at anytime.

As great as he was Sunday, he's a complete unknown.

If the offensive line does improve it's pass protection like it did vs. Carolina, then even Bledsoe will be able to thrive.

I'm betting Bledsoe gets another shot later in the season to keep this team alive in it's hopes for the playoffs.

Write it down.

Only way I see Bledsoe getting back on the field is an injury to Romo. I feel comfortable knowing we do have a vet like Bledsoe to turn to if an injury does happen but the day Bill handed the keys to Romo this became Romo team and I don't see that changing any time soon.

If Romo gets injured then we are done. Drew cant take us anywhere but down.

If nothing else.. I hope Romo has Favre's durability

This is the problem with Bledsoe. Who knows if the offensive line improved it's pass protection vs. Carolina? Perhaps they didn't improve, and Romo just got the ball out quicker and avoided sacks that Bledsoe couldn't avoid due to a lack of pocket presence/mobility.

Romo got the ball out quicker... ok? So... how many O-lines could Bledsoe play behind and hold the ball for 10 seconds?

I say this O-line will play harder with Romo... and not so much because its Romo... its because they have a guy back there who makes good decisions

Agree that Romo is our future and the only way Bledsoe gets on the field is an injury to Romo or if we blow out somebody and don't (shouldn't) leave Romo in there. That kind of sitution will be hard for Bledsoe to handle cause he's never come in as a backup before (except in Pat playoff several years ago when he had to start for injuried Brady).

Also although some of knocked Bledsoe's for his so-called attitude after being benched for Romo (their perception of his attitude anyway), he's been as class a guy as humanly possible. During Panthere game, he was there to congratulate all the offense players as they came off the field after scoring a TD. Just because an occasional media shot of him on the sidelines has him looking pensive (maybe even distraught) doesn't mean his whole demeanor was that way the whole game. No one on this board would react very happily if their boss came up with a new man and said new man was replacing him but they should get along and help each other and, BTR, your won't be back next year. I just bet all of you would hug the guy, say wonderful things to him, and run around showing nothing but happiness. Give me a break -- not a one of you would do that & you know it.
