Oh don't be naive, that's impossible..

lol. I tend to think coaches have more say with Jerry than most here think. No doubt Jerry and Stephen both have a big say in players brought in to the team but when it comes to what is taking place on the field and who is in and who is out I fully believe that is the HC call.

If Romo plays, I assume it is because Romo wants to play and asked to be allowed to play so he can audition for next year. Nothing else would make much sense. And if Romo wants to play, then that means he wants to play somewhere else next year. I expect teams to be interested, especially Buffalo, Miami, NYJ, Denver, Chicago, Minn, Jax, AZ, and Houston to name a few (actually 1/3 of the league would be interested). Romo would help sell out tickets for all of the previously mentioned teams except Denver.

No one could make up this lunacy if they tried.

Jones has already said Romo won't play. Owner/General Manager/King Louie is on record.

Schefter and Rapaport claim UNNAMED sources say Romo will play. Lineman? Prescott? The Janitor? Scooby Doo? Who knows?

Phillips quotes Garrett, who confirms nothing. The head coach is non informative (me likely) but on record.

My money's on Secret Squirrel and the gopher from Caddyshack as the unnamed sources.

If that happened, half of this board would be absolutely devastated. Even more so than they are now that they have found out that Romo is actually going to play.
Who would be devastated that Tony didn't get injured? I think I get your point, but it seems a bit of a stretch.

I couldn't care less how much Sanchez and Romo play, nor who's on the field with them, starters or backups.
They are both professional football players. You aren't supposed to get hurt just because you get knocked down.

My guess is Dak gets the first quarter, Romo the second quarter, Sanchez the second half. If Romo gets hurt when he's supposedly 100% healed, then all the trade talk should cease, and he should retire. Next year, it's the Dak and Sanchez show with a third QB on the practice squad.
Agree. If Tony gets hurt from participating in a football play...I'm sure he wants to know that. I would want to know that.

I think Romo made his desire to play elsewhere crystal clear when he made The Statement.

So sick of hearing about Tony Romo. He's the freakin' backup QB now. Dak is the starter and should be the league MVP, but it seems like Romo continues to get more press.

The Romo era can't be over soon enough for me.
