Delhomme=Romo in about 5 years. Another undrafted QB who has some talent, but can't quite get his team over the top, coming close but losing a Super Bowl. How many of you would be satisfied with that?
It's better than Hutchinson, Carter, Leaf and so on, but it would probably leave us more frustrated.

i think alot of people here would love it.. that way they could be right....

IMO Jake doesnt have half the talent Romo is capable of....lets just hope Romo can figure things out before its to late for him

Romo called Delhomme to offer his support, but the connection was lost (canned laughter)

Well, that is what is has come to. People remember how you finish as well as how you play in big games.

Sorry Delhomme lovers. Delhomme fans have loved the fact that Jake could blindly chunk the ball 40+ yards and let his WR's make the play for him. Thus, ESPN, eats the corn out of his ***!

Jake is no more than a Tony Romo with WR's who actually go to the ball. Tony could have a great career considering the passes he throws up. Just needs hungry WR's to make the play rather than giving up as they usually do.

Lack of heart is what it boils down to. Somethiing we have lacked during games that matter in December.

Sad thing about it though, Tony is a much better QB than Jake. He can make all the throws. But when Tony needs a WR to bail him out a time or two, nobody does. Jake has seems to have that.

It all boils down to heart!

& you can learn that the Ravens QBs last name is FLACCO. Guess you just made a MISTAKE. Just like EVERY QB in the league.

Sorry, but Tony doesn't just make "A mistake", he makes several.

Trying to equate a mispelled word to a QB who turns the ball over regularly is pretty far fetched.

and maybe Steve Smith can watch TO tape...so he can learn that if he screamed at his coaches and threw team mates and coaches under bus at pressers he would get more than 2 catches....

but he was laughing on the sidelines when it was 27-7, guess that little thug doesn't care

Delhomme has even fewer excuses than Romo. Delhomme plays in an offense predicated on the run and field position. In essence, he's protected by the offensive play calling...unlike Romo, who's exposed by the play calling.

Every QB makes "Several" mistakes as well. Even Flacco.
You misspelled the word "misspelled" by the way. :D

If a rookie that played at freakin' Delaware could figure it out, then Romo should be able to figure it out.

I hold the cowboys (and their players) to a higher standard.

If you're satisfied with the status quo then go cheer for the freakin' eagles.

Excelled point!!!

Romo has an OC that likes to run 75% of the plays out of shotgun, even out of the end zone.

Romo is asked to WIN games, Delhome, Collins, and Flacco are asked NOT TO LOSE games.

Big difference fellas, not that it is an excuse for turnovers, but Romo plays under a very different philosophy than the other QBs.

Just saying.

That's true, and it is a reason why we should look to alter our offensive philosophy, IMO.

I think Romo would much more effective with a real running game to work off - like most QBs.

Anyway, Wade basically said the same thing in his PC end of the season - that we needed to rein Romo in, use more of a running game to cut down on turnovers.

Why it took all season for the coaching staff to realize this is beyond me, but maybe it's what they wanted to do towards the end of the season but Choice was the only healthy RB. I don't know . . . .

Who makes it look like it matters less?

as much as i defended romo today i made one little comment about him and was called everything in the book. i was a romo hater according to some just 2 weeks ago. when all i gave was constructive critizism there is definitely a bias on this board

My friend... "constructively criticize" ALL YOU WANT.... Romo has "earned" that. An overachiever in THAT sense.

I'm not one to be quick about jumping to a Players defense BUT for all of the Romo haters, What do you expect from a quarterback who is asked to throw 30-40 times a game and is running for his life on most of them? Our o-line blows! It isn't just overrated, it is vastly overrated. They can't run block and they damn sure can't pass block. We have penalty after penalty to continue to put us in long passing situatuations where Romo is again put in the situation where he has to run for his life. The sad part is that so many times he has pulled off a magical Houdini like act and makes a great play that fans think that this is normal. WELL IT'S NOT. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, could function efficiently behind the oline we have. So I ask you to consider this before your mindless rant against the best qb we've had since Aikman.
