Romo will be the death of us.

By the time he's ready to call it quits, and takes us no where for years. Dez will be washed. Along with anyone we decide to bring in now.

Just quit Romo, enjoy your wife and kids.

All you're doing is giving Jerry false hope, we will miss out on a great QB only to see you fall over your own damn 2 feet and cry that your shoulder/collarbone is broken.

While supplying us with mid to late mid draft picks.

Hey! Respect, Mon! Romo has 2 career Playoff games!

are you comparing Brady to Romo? Tom Brady took so many hits this season any one of which could have ended Romos Career, every big hit to Romo could be his last.the 2 which broke his collar bone were not even that vicious..Brady just gets back up and asks for more, thats why he is the best QB in the NFL ever.

Yes, his bones are made of titanium, possibly from the mines in Mordor. Where do you guys come up with some of this stuff? Do you think Tom Brady's bones are made of some sort of unbreakable object? LOL

Romo's collarbone was broken the first time because he was literally picked up and pile drived into the turf. I would venture a scientific guess that Tom Brady's collar bone would have also snapped if he endured the exact same treatment. I would actually pay to see that on pay per view even though it would only last about 3 seconds total.

I see no reason why Romo couldn't play for another 4 or 5 years.

There is no structural deficiency with his back. At this point it is mainly pain tolerance and keep his back strong.

The collarbone isn't something that should reduce the longevity of his career. It has no impact on his ability to play as long as it doesn't become chronically weak.

He does not have a history of concussions as far as we know.

The mental part of the game is a lot more important in the NFL than anything else, and as long as he can keep up physically, there is no reason he can't play til 40 with the proper tools around him. Favre had one of his best years at like 38 or 39.

LOL!!!!!

I was like this with other great players in our recent history and I see it happening now with Romo. There is nothing more sad then watching older players hang around too long and the team suffers for it. It happened with Emmitt Smith. I couldnt wait for to move on at the end there. Same with Aikman, and Im sure its going to be the same with Romo. Now if this team had a great coach and a better surrounding cast of players, it might be nice to see what Romo has left. But there is little hope Romo both stays healthy and we have some miracle run with this cast of characters. Its time to move on if not now, then soon. Grooming the next young QB would be great while we wind down Romo.

If I was Jerry, I would trade Romo now while he still has some value and get a first or second rounder for him. Honestly, I am done with the whole Garrett/Romo era in Dallas.

I agree bro....it's time to move on from dude. We are only delaying the inevitable, while letting the suffer continue on

I have always been one of romo's biggest supporters. But anyone that thinks they can count on Romo playing 16 games anymore is kidding themselves. Can it happen? Sure, but to count on it and not prepare is a joke. We saw that last year. And for someone to actually believe they can realistically count on Romo to be our guy for the next 4-5 years is a total and absolute laugher. No sane GM would ever really think like that.

That quote by Jerry actually gave me some hope that he might actually take a QB with the 4th pick. Hope that it was a smoke screen comment. Because nobody would really be that dumb to think Romo might have 4-5 more years left realistically.

The ironic part is that with a young franchise QB on the roster, you might actually be able to extend Romos career or keep him around a for a bit.

I don't know about you Frozen but I spend my days watching reruns of Romo's TWO CAREER PLAYOFF WINS AS A QB.
But do not be selfish: romo has to keep playing to look relevant, to look young and virile and, of course, to keep fans here doing High 5s when he completes a 10-yard pass to fellow graybeard Witten.
Some might scoff at 2 CAREER PLAYOFF WINS but not me, I have never even played in an NFL game, so there!
;)

Well I an done with the whole Garrett era. lol I've changed my opinion of Romo but I do agree it's time to look to the future. Romo's time is coming to an end. 5 more years is a joke. I just don't understand the mindset of lets wait until Romo retires to replace him. Or that we are so close to a SB then we must win now. The organization has been saying that for years. Except for a couple of years this team has been mediocre.

It truly is a mystery how Jerry runs things. From coaches to roster its sad.

I think 2016 is Romo's last year, unfortunately. The next big injury is the last one. Retire or post June 1 cut. Draft Wentz??

If Romo starts 16 more NFL games, I'll be a little bit surprised.

There is no real evidence to suggest he has become injury prone. I would suggest rather that he has had a history of poor offensive lines and a couple fluke injuries none of which have been proven as chronic in nature.

Breaking his collarbone three times in the past 6 years, missing games with 2 distinct back injuries is all related to poor offensive lines and fluke injuries?

How many other QBs skip Wednesday practices?

How many other QBs have some precipitous drop-off in their play when they have to play on short weeks (Thursdays night games, Thanksgiving, etc) because their body doesn't have time to recover?

The question should be how many "GOOD" years does he have left?
he may play 5 more but how good he plays will be the question.
I think he has 2 more good years , then his level of play will start to go downward.

When he came back in 2015 he threw 5 int's in 1 1/2 games, that was not being smart, it had nothing
to do with his health.
The run game and formula in 2014 was the best thing to ever happen to tony, and helped him be better.
The jones boys got cheap and blew that up, so no telling what happens in 2016.
