Interesting factoid. Romo has a 94.6 QB rating which on the surface sounds pretty good.

Romo's 94.6 QB rating puts him as the 17th ranked QB in the NFL after two weeks -- ie in the bottom half (barely) of the league.

I think (or thought) that a 94.6 QB rating is good. It sure seems like it until you start looking around and looking at the overall level of QB play in possibly at all an all time high -- probably due to pro-offense NFL rules changes.

Food for thought anyway.

Take away his interception and what is his QB rating?

He's been playing with bruised ribs, pain injections, and some kind of flak jacket, so 94.6 isn't that bad, I don't think. I hope Romo and Dez are both a bit more healthy against the Rams next week. I went back and reviewed the end of the game, and what I thought was Romo's ribs hurting him was probably nothing more than him looking around and not seeing Dez on the field.

Sample size.

Last year after two weeks, Bradford was 3rd, Ponder was 6th, Rodgers was 17th, and Manning was 18th.

I agree with that Percy.

NFL.com has Romo at 15 with Patrick Peterson top 5.

Where are your stats from.

Just realized they hadn't fully updated the stats from the late afternoon games. You are right, he is at 14 (removing Peterson).

Surely way over 100, since his rating for this game was 99.
Anyway, by season's end, a rating around 95 will be be top 8 or so.
So far, he has played 3 of 4 halves with busted ribs. I suspect he will get much better.

Romo will be up near the top as the season goes along.

The concern for me is the mistakes the newbies have been making.

Especially Dunbar today.

wins are good, stats are to kill time and have something to talk about. If stats mattered, Dan Marino would be the Ring King, hes not, so they dont matter.

His ESPN QBR has sucked both games though... especially last week.

There's no question that QB has not been a particularly good position for us so far, but the question is, is Romo correctly executing the game plan by checking down and not taking risks or is he missing plays. Unfortunately, my TV isn't wide enough to tell me.

I suspect after tonight, both R Wilson and Kaepernick will fall way below Romo.

I think Kap has about a 20 rating and RW about 65 or so.

If you're adding up his overall performance for both games, then yes I think he has played good (not great) considering the circumstances. Tony's ability doesn't have me worried one bit, but that play calling and lack of creativity on offense is a different story ...

The numbers will fall. But yeah, they're pretty high after weeks.
