Take away his interception and what is his QB rating?
Add the one the refs bailed him out from yesterday and what's his rating?

His ESPN QBR has sucked both games though... especially last week.
Sample size.
Last year after two weeks, Bradford was 3rd, Ponder was 6th, Rodgers was 17th, and Manning was 18th.

I'm a big Romo supporter, but he spit the bit in those 4th quarter drives, for whatever reasons. That pick for Berry that got turned over was a foul, though it didn't look like the foul that got called. And at least two other passes weren't far enough ahead of the safeties and they got their hands on them in must-win situations. We were lucky it wasn't a lot worse. I'm more inclined to say his rating today was more generous than his level of play indicated than the reverse.
That said, everybody's also forgetting that he actually played really well in the 3rd quarter for some reason. And Dez did just flat drop what would have been a sure-fire 30 yard play and what could possibly have been a long touchdown.
@espn_macmahon: Romo vs 4 or fewer rushers in KC: 82.6 comp %, 9.1 YPA. Romo vs. Chiefs blitz: 57.9 comp %, 4.6 YPA. (via @ESPNStatsInfo)
Story of the game.
When Romo is taking chances and throws interceptions...people complain.
When Romo plays within himself..people complain.
I'm disappointed in this loss. Very much so.
I'll wait a few weeks before I quit on the season and Romo. But i'm weird that way.
Yup. And it isn't just this game it's long been the case. We need to devise plays to beat the blitz.

I'm not sure which is more laughable, ESPN or that QBR abomination that virtually nobody cares about.
We had plenty of blame to go around like the Dunbar fumble, and the Dez drop on a beautifully thrown ball by Romo, and the Refs screwing up calls all day.. both for us and against us. Romo did look especially bad out there to me for most of the game. I was irritated he didn't audible to Romo when he had the one on one with Flowers. Dez owned Flowers all day and we all know that no corner can cover him one on one. I also didn't like the play where he saw defenders in hot pursuit of him and he ran to his right and then stops and sets his feet which gave the defenders time to nail him and cause the crucial fumble/turnover. And yeah, as you mentioned the pick by Berry... there was no foul on that play, however, there was a bad throw and interception. And then he turned around and threw another bad interception but there was a flag on that play too which bailed us out. I also noticed a lot of his passes didn't have zip on them. I HOPE that it was due to the bruised ribs.
There were also many times the Oline provided him a ton of time to throw and for some reason he couldn't find anyone open. I just find it hard to believe that Dez, Miles, Witten, and others weren't getting open. I noticed the same thing against the Giants and Romo said they were playing with a scheme he hadn't seen before.
The most reasonable explanation is that the pain killers wore off and that scramble he did aggravated things.
I thought Romo played a smart game the first three quarters. The two series in the 2nd when we were pinned back, the offense didn't look good, but it was a tough position, and he didn't make any dumb mistakes. He took care of the ball. He looked really good in the third quarter, with the big drive early, and then the long string of completions. It was the 4th quarter where he looked awful. I tend to think he hurt his back or his ribs somewhere along the way, but only because the contrast from his earlier play was so obvious.
I do think Berry interfered with Witten on that play, but it was pretty ticky-tacky. Either way, though, the throws on that series were all pretty bad, and Tony dodged several bullets.
