This is the kind of thread you get when you have been eating horse crap sandwiches for years then all of a sudden you get a dirt sandwich and you go....

"Wow! This tastes great!"

Could you explain the consequences if this happens???

There are no real consequences I wouldn't imagine. Other than those people who piss all over him, every week, having to eat crow and being mocked for trying to pretend they were always on the Romo bandwagon.

Outside of that I'd imagine it would be business as usual.

Besides, the truth is, even if he wins a Superbowl the haters are still going to say "But he hasn't won multiple Superbowls."

They'll always have something to piss and moan about. It's the nature of the average NFL fan.

The consequences will be of their own making. They will be spot lighted for the band wagon fans they are. You know the type I'm talking about. The ones who say they were Cowboys fans in 87, 88 and 89 but couldn't tell you one starter from those teams. The same ones that said they were Dallas fans in 00, 01, and 02 but couldn't tell you who Dave Campo was if he was standing in front of them. FYI

So let me get this straight.

You can't be a fan of the team, a fan of the QB and criticize him?

Os that right?

and for the criticism, which by the way, is warranted, you are labled a bandwagon fan.

Am I reading you right on this one???

What I want to know is this. Where in this forum were all the get rid of Romo threads, Romo can't cut it last week? It seems to me he played very good in a big game, forgive me mods for saying this, but he got the living **** knocked out of him against the Giants, and I do not think any of us know how serious his back injury really was, but he played through it when everyone thought he would leave the game. The man refused to take pain killers, as was announced by the broadcasters last week.

If our defense actually does its job and only allows one big run, and we pull off a come from behind win, then I guarentee these Romo hate threads are not even in this forum. The man was playing hurt, and while it does not excuse some bad decisions, he nearly got us a come from behind win. I will say this, the fight I saw in Romo last week, and his never giving in, in spite of what happened tonight, I back Romo and am not going to quit on him like some in here have. If he plays bad, I will flame on him some, I have proven that. But, this is not a game where I will do that. I am saving the flames for our so called defense, they are the real chokers.

Honestly, I think it has more to do with consistency than anything.

He plays good one week and then he throws a pick 6 to lose a game we had already won. He comes back and plays well and we get all excited. Then he comes back and has a bad performance like tonight. You can;t have those kinds of ups and downs with this kind of regularity and win championships. You just can't.

I think that is the source of most of our frustration with Romo.

I am a fan of his. I think he WILL be a good QB. I think he may even win a SB for us at some point. But so far, he has shown that he cannot win a pressure game when the marbles are on the line.

All QBs have to prove themselves and I hope and pray Romo does this. But right now, he looks like a guy who folds under pressure.

No. I'm talking about the morons who believe that if Romo is gone (benched, released, traded, etc), it will be the key to Dallas winning another Super Bowl. The fans who refuse to see the larger problems this team has now and has had since 94. The idiots who believe a QB who doesn't take his team to a title by his second or third season should be tossed aside.

Well as I said. Right now, he doesn't look like he is making strides in the right direction. He HAS to win a big game in Dec or Jan to get this monkey off his back.

I think he WILL do this, but it may be a long while because he will never have more talent around him than he has right now.

He has now had three straight Nov./Dec./Jan.'s and he has so far come up small. Personally losing all the big games.

If you weren't in the hater crowd, the post wouldn't have touched a nerve. Thank you for helping to prove my point.
you obviously were in the homer crowd or you would have never responded to my first post homer

you defintely aint familiar with my post all season cause unlike you i call it how i see it while you bash people who do so.

like youre mr. cowboy or something.

youre no more of a fan then me or anyone on this board giving criticism when its due. yet you have the nerve to say you dont wanna see anyone whos giving just criticism while you act like nothing wrong happened tonight and youre not just talking about those saying he should be release or etc. you do this whenever someone says something that isnt homer. if all these were romo played bad threads and none mentioned trading him youre homer *** would still be in here to the very end defending him

no one is exempt from criticism homer.

Again, Terry Bradshaw, Brett Favre, John Elway and many more have done just that. They just didn't do it for their whole careers. Contrary to how easy it appears at times, playing QB in the NFL is without question the toughest job in sports. Make no mistake about that. You are going to have growing pains with Romo for sure. However, that's no different than 99.9% of the guys who have played that position in the NFL.

Personally?

Was Romo on the field when the defense gave up a 77 yard TD run and then an 85 yard TD run.

Was Romo on the field when we were losing in December 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago?

Face it. Our problems extend far beyond Romo.

You can't compare the QB position now to those days. There was no salary cap. There were no millions of dollars being thrown around like candy for endorsement deals.

You don't have the luxury of allowing a guy to develop for 5 or 6 years.

This is his 6th year in the league. He came out of college in 2003. His clock is ticking.

No but he WAS on the field when he bobbled the snap in Seattle.

He was on the field when he threw that pick in the endzone i the playoffs that lost the game.

He was on the field tonight throwing 2 picks and countless overthrows.

I don't know what 10 years ago has to do with anything, but I know where he was on these three BIG games.

The teams that win championships, with VERY few exceptions, find a way to do exactly that.

Tony is not without fault, but his Ginger friend calling the plays puts Romo in TONS of bad situations. It seems like Jason has never called a game before at times.

Because the Cowboys were still finding ways to lose late-season games 10 years ago. We've been watching these late season meltdowns for the past decade regardless of who's been playing QB. Clearly, the Cowboys' recent inability to win a playoff game is due to more than merely QB play.

Is that right?

How many years was Rothlisberger in the league before he won a super bowl?

Or Eli Manning?

Or Troy Aikman???
