Smack? No. If I ever start talking smack, it will be very obvious.basilhayden;2512693 said:You sure talk a lot of smack for a small time poster...:laugh2:
Are you a family member?
Are you sellin' knockoff Romo jerseys on eBay or something?
Da Hammer;2512783 said:i love how any type of criticism of a player results in being named a "Romo Hater". i dont think anyone here hates Tony Romo, its just when you play like garbage you will be called out. just because he played good the 2nd half it doesnt mean his first half is forgiven. like i said earlier football is a 60 minute sport that you have to play well throught especially a QB! Its his fault we were down at halftime when if he plays decent we are probably up 10 plus points. now obviously he and any other QB are gonna have their share of troubles but its becoming a little too consistant and familiar at this time of year. Romo doesnt need to go at least not yet because its the coaching staff i blame most for most of our problems and for not keeping Romo in check or for giving him the best gameplan to succeed. Garrett now he really needs to go! but anyways back to Romo hell if we can cheer the guy when he is playing out of his mind then i think we have the right to criticize him when is crap!
imagine if the Cowboys lose next week... i wonder what the excuses for Romo will be by some of these same people... obviously hope it doesnt come to that though!basilhayden;2512803 said:Nope, sorry. Rationalization does not work on these Romo lampreys.
Anything you say towards him that is not in a positve light means you are a hater. You'll have to deal with it. :laugh2:
I hope you don't lose any sleep over it...

No but he WAS on the field when he bobbled the snap in Seattle.
He was on the field when he threw that pick in the endzone i the playoffs that lost the game.
He was on the field tonight throwing 2 picks and countless overthrows.
I don't know what 10 years ago has to do with anything, but I know where he was on these three BIG games.
Thank you you said it perfectly, we were chasing those 3 points in the 4th qtr. Once again well said sir.GOLDENCHILD1688;2511708 said:FIRST OFF
let me start by saying im not a romo hater and will support him as long as he is our qb and i am a fan of his although he kills me at times
what i dont get on this site is how people dont think one play doesnt affect another
me and my friend whos a giant fan is always arguing about romo. he always argues how romo is always able to dodge blame after almost costing us gms by making a play or 2 to bring us back in a contest he almost lost in the 1st place
plus somehow when he finds a way to **** up the entire game. he pull a rabbit out of his *** late and the minute someone else messes up be it the defense or st hes completely off the hook
this brings me back to my post. one play effects another
you cant tell me if he doesnt throw that pick going into the half and hits a wide open owens and austin we dont win the game.
DO YOU PEOPLE NOT REALIZE THAT ONE GAME CHANGING PLAY LIKE THAT CAN EFFECT THE WHOLE OUTCOME
if romo hits owens for that td. now were the one sitting on the lead and those back to back runs dont happen.
go ahead pat romo on the back for his comeback in the 4th but dont act like he doesnt deserve blame. this isnt all the d's fault while he took 3 quarters off they were busting their *** covering up his mistakes.
Scranton Tiger;2512489 said:He did in that game several times. That's my point. In that game, he made plays ALL NIGHT and got zero help. No one wants to talk about that. There are two things a QB has absolutely no control of what so ever. One, he can't make a receiver catch the ball. If it's on the numbers, that's all he can do. Second, he can't stop a receiver from quitting on his route. The receiver has to do that on his own even if he believes he's not the primary receiver on the play.
Scranton Tiger;2511522 said:I've read the garbage that many of you have typed tonight over the last few hours. Romo sucks; Romo isn't a championship QB; Romo needs to go; Romo chokes too much; etc, etc, etc.
First of all, how about all of you who wrote that crap go pull for Washington or Philly. You'll fit right in with their fans.
Second, the next Danny White? Are you really serious? I only ask because I don't remember Danny playing on defense against the Niners when joe Montana lead his team right down the field in the final two minutes against the Doomsday Defense. But, you guys are right. It was ALL Danny's fault. Idiots!
Third, I've heard all of that stupidity you morons are spouting off about Romo before. I heard it about Terry Bradshaw, Jim Plunkett, Joe Theismann, Phil Simms, John Elway, Steve Young, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. Do you Einsteins see a trend there. All QBs who's fans wanted them gone because they had a few tough seasons or tough losses. They were ALL labeled as guys who either can't win "the big one" or choke "when the game's on the line". In case you missed it, they all came back to win a championship. There is no doubt in my mind that Romo will lead us there. The kid hasn't even started for three complete seasons yet. FYI, Aikman didn't win a title until his fourth year as a starter. Of course I'm sure all of you "fans" were screaming for Steve Walsh to take his place in 89 and 90.
Lastly, the season isn't over yet. We still have a really good chance at making the playoffs. When that happens, don't try and jump back on the band wagon. All of you will be a distant memory by then. Just like every other fair weather fan in history.
HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!
good post, this offense did not click well for most of last nights game.Yakuza Rich;2512945 said:I've been a full blown Romo supporter and apologist up to this year. I've been steadfast in my support for him and I would not knock him if the team made the playoffs and he was playing alright and making solid decisions.
But, he has not done that.
He keeps making those really stupid decisions and turning the ball over when he really should not turn the ball over. Furthermore, he seems to be getting the "Bubby Brister's" where he winces away when he throws the ball and there's pressure coming on. And he's holding onto the ball way too long.
So we're seeing a QB that come December he still keeps on making the same dumb, inexcusable mistakes and now will not step into his throws. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's duck. And as much as it PAINS me to say it, those who said Romo was a choker are right. Clutch QB's get their game in gear when it counts, Romo's game just keeps getting worse come December.
He did start to look like his old self in the last 8 minutes of the game which gives me a glimmer of hope, but this team needs to draft another QB by the fourth round next April. Not only do they need a suitable backup, but they need to start thinking about a replacement in a couple of years if Romo keeps pulling an A-Rod.
