in English please.
Sounds about right. Ron Leary tried his best to get hm killed. When that didn't work he took matters into his own hands.

Unfortunately Leary gets blamed this season for a change in the OL scheme that was designed to help Doug Free while making the Left Guards job more difficult.
They have the RG keep a closer than normal spacing to Free. This minimizes the outside pass rushers ability to beat Free to the inside and allows Free to over-set to the outside. In order to allow the RG to play this method, the Center must help to the right much more than he normally would. In turn, the LG gets no help and is on a island. His job becomes similar to playing OT instead of OG.
The thing that allowed them to make this change, is the fact that they feel Leary can handle himself. Basically, despite being a 2nd year player with no real NFL experience coming into this season, they decided to change the scheme at Leary expense for the purpose of helping multi-year veteran and 3.5M per year player Doug Free.

I didn't realize this. If true then Leary is grading out fairly well in my eyes given that he is a first year player.
Ive noticed you bring a lot to the table here. appreciate your posts xwalker.

On one of the sacks Free has Tuck blocked well but he peels off to take a LB blitzing inside as Murray was coming over to pick him up.
I cannot imagine that Free was supposed to release the outside guy when the RB is lined up on the opposite side of the formation. That just makes the RBs job almost impossible as he has to cover nearly twice as much ground to pick up the free man and when he gets there that free man is going to be a DE instead of a LB.
I'm pretty happy Dallas has gotten better play from Free. If it has come at the expense of one of the OGs, I suppose I would reluctantly take a dip in OG play with improved RT play as opposed to the same RT play we saw last year with better OG play than what the team is getting now.
Thanks.
I'm not saying that Leary does not make plenty of mistakes, but the coaches have made his job as difficult as possible because of Doug Free's deficiencies. If they could upgrade the RT and RG, Leary would suddenly look like a drastically better player. They could do what most teams do with when they have an inexperienced Guard and have the Center help him more than the other Guard, not less. Leary does have impressive physical ability. He is much more powerful than Bernadeau and more athletic. He is playing better than any Cowboys Guards did in 2012.
