but he looks shorter. Has anyone seen him up close? If so can you verify his Height?

Hostile, Is Rommo tall enough to succeed, in your opinion? I believe you said that Troy Smith was too short, once when you responded to someone's post that asked what the forum thought about Troy Smith.

Troy Smith has looked good, he could possibly succeed and be a starter in the NFL, I would take him, Brady Quinn (First) Tyler Palko, Drew Stanton, Chris Simms since he will be testing the waters this offseason.

6' 2" isn't a problem.

If anything lineman are shorter than what they were in the 70's & 80's. Many DT's were 6'4, 6'5... even 6'6. Ends were always taller.

Now DT's are 6'2, 6'3... heck some are even shorter. Ends are shorter than what they use to be.

The taller, thinner guys that use to make terrific D-lineman are now power-forwards in basketball.

Well he could have used an extra inch or two trying to get the pass over Strahan.

But in general I'm not that worried, he has a pretty high release point and I don't really remember him having a problem with batted passes during the preseason.

Yes, he's that tall. I was in town for the Boys/Skins game and he was part of an autograph session at the hotel my wife and I was staying at (Gaylord Texan). He actually was kind enough to speak to my son via cell phone who was back home in VA. Real nice guy. My son told Romo "to hang in there and that you would be starting by the next Skin game in DC." Who knew. Also at the autograph session was Pat Crayton, Preston Pearson and last but not least, H.O.Famer, Rayfield Wright.

Romo and McNabb are very similar sized, used to be the same size until McNabb got fat.

Troy Smith is listed at 6'0". After the combine, he will be closer to 5' 10". There has never been a highly successful NFL starting QB under 6' 0". And no, Flutie was not that successful in the NFL overall.

I think we look at Romo as short because he was always seen standing next to Bledsoe and Henson, who are 6' 4", 6' 5".

He officially measured 6'2" at the combine. It's legit.

Being 6'2" didn't seem to hinder Steve Young, Joe Montana, Brett Favre and John Elway much.

Troy Smith is listed at 6'-1". I think the combines will find him to be 6'-0" or maybe even shorter.

Opps I just checked the Pats website and he's now 6-4. Amazing I was sure he was listed at 6-2 just last year!

I checking the eagles website, I was surprised to see Westbrook was back to 5-8 203. Last year he was listed at 5-10 205. I saw a Combine clip last year that showed Westbrook being measured at 5-7 and 7/8 182 lbs.

Better comparison, go check Delhomme, Grossman and Brees respective heights and weights. Delhomme is listed at 6'2" 215, Grossman 6"1" 217 and Brees is 6'0" 209.

Romo is listed at 6'2" 225 lbs. He's big enough to be a starter, it's just a question of if he can play.

Couchscout has him listed as 6.05, they also had Joey Galloway listed as 5'10",not 5'11' as usual and they had the Rocket listed as 5'8", not the 5'10' he was usually listed as, so I believe that they are pretty consistent.

I believe you're right, the scouts seemed to be puzzled that Grossman actually measured out at 6'1", they thought he would be shorter too. As for Romo, when he gets hit, he goes down like he weighs 180 lbs and Parcells often seems to tower over him too.
