This sunday will prove this.

I'm just curious. And I don't mean this as a disrespect or anything. But will you be here on Sunday to say "Boy was I foolish" if the Eagles roll the Cowboys? Something tells me you will either not return for a while or you'll just pretend that you never said this.

I fully expect the Eagles to kill us on Sunday.

Have to shake my head sometimes.

- Romo beat the Eagles in Philly with Joseph Randle as the starting RB. Really like Murray, but he won't even be the best back in AT&T stadium on Sunday.

- He matched Peyton Manning vs. Denver.

- Romo & the offense left the field with 1 minute to go in Detroit and the Lions needing to drive 90-yards for a TD.

- Romo led a drive that resulted in the game winning FG vs. the Giants.

- He helped lead the team back vs. the Raiders after the ST's and defense dug a 21-7 hole

- Despite the injury...Romo threw the game winning TD vs. the Skins on 4th-and-12 with time winding down and the season on the line.

He's a true franchise QB. Top shelf.

And that's not because he does it one year like Griffin and now Foles. Romo does it year in and year out. Teams adjust and he still does it.

One of the biggest injustices of the Jerry era is the wasted career of Tony Romo.

Nope, its true. Dude has never won a big game in his life, this is what we needed.

What big game have we won since 1996? Are you going to blame him for the Campo years too? Are you that in love with Jerry and Garrett to think they have done a great job and the only thing holding us back has been Romo?

Not to discredit Romo, but it's kind of silly to equally discredit Kyle Orton. We can, and I believe we will win this game. If Orton shows half the passion and leadership that Kitna showed when he filled in, then we will be just fine.

I know Kitna is not the better QB than Romo, but I do think he commands respect and attention due to his veteran status and his personality. Tony looks pretty lackadaisical most of the time so if Orton can show some fire, I think guys will feed off of that.

I dread post-game and this message board.

If we win and Orton has a good or bad game, there will be posts up the wazoo talking about Orton is better than Romo, despite the one game sample size for the year 2013.
If we lose, there will be post after post talking about how we need Romo and blah blah blah.

Both threads will be equally annoying.

Nobody will say our defense stepped up, or our running game was huge, or (not a JG fan, sad I have to preface that) Garrett made the right calls and adjustments that cater to his players strengths. It will be a Romo-Orton pissing contest come Monday.

And if they somehow get a playoff win or two, it will be the same thing without the above being considered.

We should've been looking for a replacement for Romo several years ago. Instead, we gave the 32 yr old a long term extension. Jerry lucked into Tony and obviously doesn't want to try finding a better QB.

For everybody saying we are so better off without Romo, are y'all going to show up post game if the Eagles roll us?

Didn't think so

They will show up. They will just say it would have been as bad with Romo. When you are talking what-ifs, you can pretty much make almost any argument you want.

Its not going to be just people on this board. If somehow the Cowboys win this game, some members of the national media will have a field day with this. It doesnt matter how they win, if they do get the W, there will be tons of people writing how it would've been a loss with Romo...I'm not going to be one of them, but you better believe the anti-Romo stories and posts will be all over.

When I think back to the skins game, I can think of four big plays.

1) Dez's TD
2) 4th down completion to Beasley
3) Long pass to Williams late
4) 4th and goal/game/season from the 10 TD pass to Murray

Romo made all four, .. and I don't think Orton would have made any of the four because all required Romo to move outside the pressure, scramble outside the pocket, ... and I fear that is one thing that Orton can not do as well as Romo.

Not as valuable? Sometimes posts on this board blow my mind.
