I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet, but if we beat Denver this week, Tony Romo will move past Joe Montana for the best road winning percentage by any starting quarterback during the Super Bowl era (minimum of 15 starts).

Romo is 15-5 on the road, a winning percentage of .750. Montana was 61-20 (.753). A win in Denver would put Romo at .762.

The only other quarterback with a road winning percentage better than .667 during the Super Bowl era is Tom Brady, who is 42-14 and has a home game this week.

I know you're talking somewhat touch in cheek here, but I'm not sickened by this at all. It takes time to build a championship team. Being able to win on the road will help in that endeavor.

Out of curiosity Adam where does Eli stand? I ask because so much was made of the Giants winning all but one road game in 2007. It was a huge deal.

Its pretty remarkable, especially when you throw in that crazy loss in washington in 06 and I think that the 07 Commanders loss is probably in that too, but really he had nothing to do with the outcome.

Eli is 24-17 on the road, a winning percentage of .585.

Great share, thanks.

I wonder how long will it take the negative Calvary to turn this positive bit of information into something negative?

I knew his numbers on the road were good but I didn't realize they were this exceptional. I like how our Boys can get it done on the road that says a lot considering we play the giants, eagles and redsk*ns every season. Those are tough places to play.

Thank you. I wonder if any news outlet will pick up on this if we win?

I doubt it.

I believe Hos was referring to Romo's accomplishment, not Eli's comparison.

I have heard Romo get praised for a good road record. But the Giants won like 8 straight road games. That's the only reason Eli got more press. Romo has never done that. But, like I said, I have heard him get praised for it.

While I appreciate the stats, and it's encouraging, there's quite a disparagement between Montana's sample size and Romo's. Romo would have to keep up that pace for quite some time to legitimately knock Joe off the mountain. Not saying that he won't, but while Romo may surpass him in a 100 yard sprint, Montana has already completed the mile.

Good stuff, though, Adam. Like I said, it's encouraging.

Get some tenure Romo and then you can start comparing the two. Superbowl rings speak for Joe. Turnovers in big games speak for Tony.
