No comments from me on Luck, but that poster you are responding to does not remotely understand the overall game of football.
He and a few others badly degrade the quality of this website.

Yeah, of course I don't understand the game of football.. But you do. You choose to ignore the fact that Luck, in his second year (not in his 10th year), against a 5th ranked defense, on a worse team(1/3 of his starters on the IR.. no starting WR, no starting TE, no starting RB)... beat the Chiefs in a shootout. No one blamed the defense.

If that happened to Romo in the playoffs.. we would be blaming the defense.

Oh wait.. it did.. when the super elite QB Romo put up an astonishing... THREE POINTS the last time he was in the playoffs. WOW!

Romo can't be fired either; we're married to him and his salary. But this thread has gone on for 11 pages and I don;t see you tell anyone else to "give it a rest.". Why should Jerry be immune from criticism just because he isn't going anywhere? That's just silly.

Jerry is the root of this team's problems. I dislike Garrett and disliked Wade Phillips even more but one man is responsible for bringing them here. People accepting (and defending Jerry) is a fan's version of Stockholm Syndrome.

Romo can be fired, salary or not, we don't have to deal with anything regarding him, we can fire him and be screwed money wise... yes.

Jerry can't be fired, period.

Like I said and you ignored; I have nothing against Luck. He's outstanding and only going to get better, IMO.

I just don't see how you can't separate the entire game of football--multiple facets of offense, defense, special teams, coaching, etc---with one single player.
Or that a bad game here or there is 100% expected by all players....no exceptions.
Or that the more opportunities a worthy team gets, the better odds it had to succeed.

These are extremely basic concepts.

Guys like you sometimes make me regret ever using this site.

The Romo-friendly moves are great stuff. I have never read about any changes that were Aikman-friendly, or in today's game, Manning-friendly . Some fan-friendly playoff and Super Bowl wins should have been the result, but it wasn't.

Agreed that those were silly comments given that the polar opposite to Romo friendly was in fact what was going on. Jerry should have never said it. Maybe "team-friendly" would be better idea.

A few years ago, when that comment was first made, the two things that would most help Romo--a dominant defense to not make the QB feel 30 points was needed to win, or a strong o-line to keep a Qb upright and out of the hospital-- were heading into complete decline. Far from Romo friendly, that's for sure.
Hey, at least now the Oline is looking good. That's good for everyone, not just the QB.

I wonder why that topic has never been brought up

If you guys are so tired of the topic, why constantly call attention to it with snide remarks? Picking at a scab only causes it to bleed even more.

Seems to me if you guys consider the authors of said topic to be trolls, losing their audience would do more than giving them the attention you guys say they want. Is it really that hard to just say nothing?

I wish we could fire a whole bunch of our fans.

How about the speeding up of the maturity or resolution to the unethical nature in some.

I'm hoping when Romo retires, a bunch will follow him out the door.

You think there's a lot of fans of this team who are here because they're bandwagoning Romo? The UDFA who has a media reputation for being a choker?
