Yes, I think he will be fine to play, but he will be very cautious. We saw him take some dives last season. I'm sure if that's good or bad. He made a lot of plays in the past by running around, but that's also when he made the most mistakes.

I don't remember the dives with Tony but it's not a bad idea. Take a dive & live to see the next play.

Yesterday Fisher and company were discussing this.

They played audio of a Romo interview. He said he can't think of much which would keep him off the field.

Fisher brought up that Romo wanted to take reps the first day of camp and the head trainer said no. Fisher then stated they would work towards the 9er game in increments. That the team should have said this up front and stop all the nonsense.

But he also made a point at the end which is sobering. Romo claims he's 100%. Fisher said this. "I'm 100% and I don't do three and a half hours of rehab a day like Tony."

Which gives one pause to consider.

On NFL Network on the bottom ticker it says " tony promo says back will never be the same".. well no **** he's 34 years old..man I hope tony has his best season ever just yo shut these retards up. Over it

I can't wait until the season starts. If there is a God, Tony will play his smartest football ever. The "elite veteran QB" coming off major back surgery will check INTO running plays, play action pass their butts to death and take the sack and live to play another down until the cows come home. All day every day.

3 1/2 hours of rehab is a regular season game. And these people got the nerve to question why he isn't out their praktissing every minute of every hour. Please.

Omg...So, it give you pause to consider that Romo, a professional athlete works out/rehabs 31/2 hours a day to play football, while some dumb *** desk jockey that is 100% healthy does not?

Yeah, that is real cause for concern, or for you, pause to consider. smh

I do think Tony's back issue is going to change his game & he'll be taking some dives this season to avoid a hard hit on a sack.

Like Peyton does.

I'd rather he just fall than take a 100 mph hit from Watt.

He did that last year.o_O

Tony's definition of 100% was pretty enlightening. By 100%, Tony's saying that there's nothing he can't do on the field that he usually does. He distinguishes that from doing the number of reps and volume of work that he'd have done prior to the surgery.

I think the point was clear no matter who wants to rewrite it.

Romo would not be doing 3.5 hours a day of REHAB if he did not have off-season surgery.

Now I am repeating what was said. Like usual there is a contingency that flies out to rebut the comments.

But the fact remains the guy is working to get game reads at the start of the season.

But at this point he is rehabilitating. Ignore it as you like.

I don't know, I kind of like a person who works out a supposed 3.5 hours a day...I wonder if he still has to make trips to the john to study his 'literature?'

You do get the difference between working out and rehabbing? Right?

What do you think the odds that Romo plays in the opener vs SF?
