ROMO: other than brady and manning what qbs would you take"

over him hands down if all nfl qbs were in a draft pool, and you need a QB for your team. Im talkin all things considered (age, mobility, arm, accuracy, heart, etc)!

I think arguments can be made for other qbs but i think i can counter those arguments with some dang good arguments of my own.

Let me add palmer in there as a possibility as well, but not hands down....and WHOEVER SAYS PHILIP RIVERS SHOULD JUST STOP NOW!! ie: peter king.

I know I will get some McNabbs, and Brees' as well...After those three i dont think anyone elses name should hit this list, BUT whover you say, give me your argument.

You can have both of them and I will just take Romo. I just love watching the guy play the game. He is having so much fun out there, enjoying himself and playing lights out. Brady has all day in the pocket, so does Manning most of the time and yet, Romo, even with pressure just seems to find a way.

Part of being a fan is enoying watching the players themselves, Manning is a whiner and there really is nothing negative to say about Brady, but Romo, coming form undrafted to top 5 QB is just much more fun!

I'd take Palmer. I think he is the best young QB in the game right now. JMO

Romo has looked pretty good so far but it has only been 3 games this year, do like Jethro:eek:: and take the wait and see approach!

If he performs well in the playoffs this year...its hard to argue anyone other than Manning and Brady.

Wait and see what? Romo has played enough games to know that he has the talent and is one of the better QB's in this league. Like any of them he will have down games but I have no doubt that Romo is the real deal and a few more games is not going to change what is obvious right now.

I really like Palmer but he is not very mobile.

T. Brady and P. Manning are both great QBs but they are in their 30s, although they are only 30 and 31.

Therefore, I wouldn't trade Romo for any QB at present time.

Wait and see that he doesn't go down the toilet like the last half of last season, that's what I mean! In other words can he put a whole season together, from start to finish, playing at a high level. Yes, he'll have a bad game or two though, even Brady and Manning do that, but they bounce back. So far Romo has done a good job of bouncing back from last season. Can he keep it up?

palmer is a heck of a qb. but romo is the right guy for this team. his attitude and moxy is what drives this team.i love watching him smile all the time. the guy is having a blast out there and i think that keeps the rest of the team going

if i am not mistaken...romo's qb rating for the last five games of last year was several points higher than aikman's career qb rating....

down the toilet you say???

So you're taking 5 or 6 games and comparing them to another guys whole career? Did you even watch the last part of last season? What do numbers matter in that situation when he was turning the ball over with picks and fumbles at a high rate? Look, I'm not bashing Romo at all, I hope he keeps playing great like the first 3 games, but some on this forum are making him out to be better than Roger or Troy or even the best in the game now and I think that's pre-mature, that's all I'm saying.

I think Jerry is waiting for the Pats game to make his move.

If we hold our own, and especially if we win convincingly, I think the talks at that point come to fruition. They could wait into December, but then I think it starts to become to much of a "well you did this, but can you do this" scenario. And that could be counterproductive.

Waiting until the playoffs is a nice ideal, but that would be too much of a distraction with what's on the line.
