Yeah but c'mon. It's tony. The guy who put his stamp of approval on Escobar.

Jkjkjkjkeven though he really didjkjk

If you look at it objectively, Escobar has done a tremendous job with the limited opportunities he's been given. Six TDs in 18 catches is a pretty amazing ratio.

Problem is, there's only one football.

Escobar is not a bad player he just plays a position that is currently held by a HOF to be TE in Witten and Romo security blanket.

X, I asked you once but you did not reply: Is Weems your new Parnell? o_O:p

No, Ken Bishop is in the lead for top pet cat followed by Whaley.

I am interested to see Weems in TC. I think he has potential to become a pet cat.

Love to hear praises regarding Jones especially at an early stage in his pro career. Hope he has a solid injury free rookie campaign.

If we can hit a homerun with this pick, It would take an act of Congress to stop Jerry from tooting his own horn about making this draft day selection.

That is fine by me, he has taken the heat when it has come his way he and the organization should be happy if B. Jones turns out to be a great player.

What's encouraging to me is that we haven't heard one bad thing.

First round picks are always under the microscope and nobody loves to be scrutinized more than the Dallas Cowboys. The kid has all the tools, intelligence, work ethic and a solid character. Byron Jones is gonna make us proud. Might take a year or two till we see his full potential. But he's gonna be a good one.

Somebody tell him that they're not wearing pads so it's impossible to evaluate these guys and absolutely nothing can be gleaned from these practices. Duh tony

yeah bit easier to evaluate DB's and WR since it is looking at technique, positioning and how they react to the ball pads or no pads. For guys like Gregory it is much harder since there is limited contact

Right. Like Martellus Bennett, if he was in an offense that gave him the opportunities, he'd rack up the production. At some point, you have to think Witten will miss some significant time due to injury. It's bound to happen. And when it does, it'll be interesting to see how Escobar does. He may work his way into a position where it's difficult to reduce his playing time when Witten came back.

That's for offensive and defensive linemen. Doesn't really change much for receivers and defensive backs.

That would be a disaster because Escobar is an entirely different player than Witten. That'd be like replacing Travis Frederick with LP Ladeocuer.
