that is happy. I am actually happy about having a reason to be excited about the game on Sunday. I am almost not even concerned if we win or lose. I said almost! I found myself screaming at the tv on Monday night and really did not enjoy the game, that is until Romo came in. I had a co-worker try to get me down about the 3 interception Romo threw, but you know what he is going to have to learn you can not make throws like that in the NFL. He may have gotten away with throws like that in college, but this is the NFL now. I am normally not one to get on the bandwagon, but I am officially on the "let's support Romo!!". GO ROMO!!

How sad. I am glad you are excited. I'm not. Not that I don't like Romo, but here we go again. The mighty Dallas Cowboys still in a quandry about our quarterback, I wonder if we are ever going to be a real contender again.

Yeah... even though Romo was no where near lights out(his first real action) I was excited and I felt we had a chance to atleast make some plays that Drew had no chance of making...

I just hope that BP can get into his head about that impulse stuff... otherwise Romo's time in NFL will be short lived or at the very least.... a career backup

There was nothing exciting about watching Romo keep things alive? Nothing?
Even if you are a glass half empty type of person... I saw some good things in Romo... he is what he is... a NEWBIE

I really believe you could be wrong......ROMO is the BEST talent at QB we have had since TROY retired.....

This could be a BIG shot in the arm for our FRANCHISE!

ROMO is confident, cocky, strong arm, quick release, moves, and the players like him--very important.

That is your opinion. I have no idea whether Romo will be good or not. Since Aikman left, I have gotten excited about every quarterback because I love the Cowboys and think they must know what they are doing over there at Valley Ranch. Well, 8 (or so) quarterbacks later, I don't think they know what they are doing. I had high hopes for this year. 6 games in, we are going to a young inexperienced quarterback. So, excuse me if I am not excited. I hope for the best and if Romo turns out to be good, I will be excited!! Just not yet.

I want to see Romo do good but I think some are starting to count their chickens before they hatch. People are putting a lot on his shoulders right now and if he does not play great I'm afraid many who are singing his praise today will throw him under the bus monday if things don't go well.

I think a well protected Drew Bledsoe gives us our best chance of winning. Guess what though? This team can't give us a well protected Drew Bledsoe and so we go with the second best option and that is Tony Romo. The combination of an immobile Bledsoe and poor offensive line blocking has carried this team as far as it was going to go. There is no way we could stay in contention for a division title with that combination.

Romo gives the offensive a chance of success becuase of his mobility. When he came into the game you saw the offense open up because the TE's were able to go out and catch passes instead of having to stay in and pass protect. That's what Romo gives us that Bledsoe can't. The three INTs were more a result of a lack of practice and timing than they were a lack of ability. With a full week with the 1st team offense it should make a difference.

Fans have complained about the lack of imagination in the offensive playcalling. IMO Romo's mobility will open up the playbook a little bit more and allow the coaches to be more imaginative with their calls.

I'm right there with ya! I feel good about where we're going now just as long as BP doesn't ruin my day at his PC today by making some asinine annc that he's going back to Drew.

OK--good points, however, you have to be encouraged when you see that ROMO does not have a baseball background!

Romo's confidence will be tested, it's all easy street when the games don't count. He didn't look so hot at the PC. I'm rooting for him though.

In a quandry like 71/72 with Morton and Staubach? In a quandry like 89/90 with Walsh and Aikman? Oh ye of little faith. Be GONE with you!!!

I cannot believe I've never seen this. Maybe the funniest thing in years. Hoff in a full body fur suit, being thrown a giant fish, that he puts in his mouth, while superimposed on a snowboard.....I'm stunned.

Let's just hope Dirk doesn't listen to this one on his Ipod before Mavericks games!!

Hey, you know as well as i The Dallas Cowboys QB possition equals pressure. Fans are gonna do exactly what you say and that's just the way it is. People were really questioning Troy(as was Jimmy ans staff) there for awhile. One thing helped Troy was he was the #1 overall. Romo doesn't have that pedigree to fall back on so his time may very well be shorter. But the kid was the MVP of his league in college, and he's had 4 years of Parcells "grooming". It looks like he's got 10 full games ahead of him to prove himself. What more could a kid from E. Illinois ask for? Plus i'm sure, unless to totally collapses, he'll get another shot next spring. He'll never be able to say he didn't have the perfect opertunity after 4 years no matter what fans do to him.

I'm not saying that, I know pressure comes with the job but for goodness sake people comparing Romo to Favre, Young and some other all time greats is asking a lot out of a player who has a total of 1/2 game of reg season experiance and is about to face one of the better defense in the NFL. I think to be fair in judgeing Romo it should be over the course of the season not just next sunday
