Wow, one of the better plays of the year and some here are trying to say it was an accident.
Why am I not surprised.

I admitted I was wrong, based it off of an angle I saw that was not shown during the game and was not my first thought. I am not a Romo hater and admitted I was wrong, what more do you want from me?

Delete the thread, I was not doing this for attention or to undermine any of the team's performance, I overanalyzed a play.

Actually based on what TWill said about innovating on his route, and how close Witten was to the reception, and the conversation on the sidelines, I'd say it's quite possible the play was an accident.

Oh good grief...

Very interesting. It's very possible that both routes were designed to end up in the same area and that because Witten is slower( and his route was likely designed for him to receive the ball somewhere in the middle of the field) he ends up in the corner of the endzone seconds after T-Will improvised his route and ends up in the same area. Only Tony knows who he was throwing to but that if you ask me that was too perfect a pass to not be deliberately intended for T-Will.

No worries. This is a message board for ideas and discussions like this.

He's looking at Williams the whole way. The guy covering Witten just fell down and throwing to him would have been a much easier throw. He had the entire half of the endzone to throw to.

I wise Panda told me "nothing happens by accident." Everything was meant to be and Twill was at the right place at the right time.

Didn't look like it was intended for anyone but TWill.

One of the best throws I have ever seen Romo make and a great read by the rook.

Twill/Frederick > Floyd....by a long long margin.

Twill is showing a lot of promise......... Like a Randall Cobb type player......we need him to be that!!;
Agreed. When you have a QB who specializes in improvisation, you have to have WRs that do the same and it looks like we have than.

They should. That was an insanely good play by the QB, and just a beautiful catch by the WR on the other end. Given where it transpired in the game, it's probably going to get glossed over a little bit, but that was an unbelievably good play right there.

The haters surely won't ever talk about it.

I think Romo is telling Williams that it worked out but that generally, when a QB is scrambling, he doesn't want you running further away. In essence, he was telling Williams it was a good play and worked out but was the wrong way to do it "the right way".

Witten wasn't coming back either.
