Scoop: Ladies and gentlemen: Tony Romo. The Cowboys quarterback has made little more than cameo appearances in the series' opening two chapters. This week, Romo takes his rightful place alongside the likes of free-agent wide receiver Todd Lowber in gaining face time.

There's no word if Romo's leading lady will make the show. Guardians of the Hard Knocks tapes remain tight-lipped. Wouldn't it be cute if Jessica Simpson steals into Romo's room and plays patty cake with him from the opposite side of the door? Oh wait, Terrell Owens and Roy Williams have already played that game.
Note: The official HBO press release mentions a fly-on-the-wall moment when "the coaching staff evaluates player performances after their first preseason loss at San Diego."
Hopefully, Martellus Bennett won't be skewered yet again by tight ends coach John Garrett.
And: Sources say we'll all see a softer side to DeMarcus Ware.
