Not sure why Carson gets so much love and respect from the national media without ever winning anything and why Romo got such crap. I would think the #1 pick in the draft would be scrutinized a bit more than a undrafted free agent. Just puzzling to me. In my mind, Romo has always outplayed Carson from season to season. Romo was better, is better and will always be better than Carson Palmer.

Noone expects anything from the Bengals. I'm not even sure that the national media knows that football is still played in Ohio.

Because he was a USC great with a national title? Who knows?

Palmer didn't get a brand new escalade at USC..the expectations for him really were never that high

I dont even know if Palmer is a top half QB anymore.

You have Manning, Brees, Brady as your top three.

Then in any order, Romo, Rivers, Warner, Rodgers, Rothlisburger and Favre.

Then maybe Eli, Matt Ryan, Schaub, McNabb, or Palmer.

I think because of his success at USC many so called experts expected him to be great and I think many of them do not like being proven wrong. As good as Tony has played some still refuse to give him his just dues or talk about him as an after thought. I don't know if that is the case with Palmer or not just a guess on my part.

The one thing that I have noticed about all past Romo critics / haters is that when bagging on Romo they never held QBs not named Romo to the same standards.

If all QBs were held to the standards that many were holding Romo to there would be somewhere between 1-3 QBs in the NFL that are worth a darn and that number might be even smaller now.
