Romo's back on injury report

The "injury report" during the week is a practice participation report. Until Friday (or the day before an early game), there is no "out," "doubtful," "questionable," etc. There's only "did not participate," "limited participation" and "full participation."

Romo was listed as not participating in Wednesday's practice -- it's a precaution because of his recent history of back issues. There has been no indication that he's had any issues with it this season.

They're giving him rest but if he has to take on a bigger load this season reverting back to what he's done in the past due to the running game not being what it was last season it could lead to trouble. The more he has to put the ball up the more hits he'll be subjected to and the torqueing motion required to throw could take its toll on his back as the season goes on.
I'm shocked.

There goes the season.

This is sarcasm. A Romo dropback remains our most dangerous play.

Isn't Brady always on the injury report just in case he does pick up a nick they don't have to list it? Gamesmanship.

I can't go back in time and completely heal Romo's back with
23rd century medicine but he will be just fine. Trust me.

Yeah. Sure thing. Go Cowboys. But Bones, what about my security officer? Will he be okay?

That guy in red over there? He's dead Jim.

True, but it can also work against the Cowboys if he has to drop back too many times this season. He had the fewest attempts of his career last season in which he played at least 15 games and we saw the results.

Trust me there's those on this board who think he can go back to throwing the ball 550-600 times and we'll be just fine. Someone started a thread not long ago claiming after Romo's performance last season all the Cowboys need to do is put it all on his shoulders this season and let him lead the team to the SB. It's obvious a few here still haven't a clue why he was so successful last season.

I hope the running game works out this season. I want Romo to throw less than 8 passes a game because of his back problems. I don't know the stats, but, I think Murray was the one that made Romo good last season. Romo did not have to pass as much and how he ended up with the best season in the NFL as far as passer rating goes is beyond me.

But, if Romo has to throw more than 5 passes a game, it could come back to bite them...at least that is what I am hearing from the supposed experts and know it all's that have it all right.

Why you laughing at me? Don't you know that the torque on Romo's back when he has to throw the ball more than ever before will most likely have him ending up on IR? The running game last year is what made Romo the best QB in the NFL last season.

And, if Romo has to sling it around and around and around he will get dizzy and fall down! You do know that he had back surgeries the two years prior, right? All, I'm saying is, if Romo has to throw the ball in each game more than 4 or 5 times, Weeden better get ready to come in!

I just hope the coaches have a game plan in place so that the running backs can just do what Murray did last year and Romo does not even have to pass at all! Well, maybe one pass...but that's it! His back might hurt him if he tries to much.

You are working on outdated medical data. Dr. KJJ re-evaluated Romo. Our quarterback is down to 3 pass attempts per game. He's going to need a priest if he throws any more than that.

Seriously though, I cannot wait for Sunday night. Months of negative Romo bs was pathetic back in May. Real football will put the nonsense in its proper place.

I don't know who this Dr. KJJ is? But, whoever he is, Romo better keep seeing that doc. He sounds wise beyond his beliefs.

I'm not really looking forward to Sunday Night. Maybe I need to see this Dr. KJJ, because unless the Cowboys jump on the Giants, it's three hours of misery for me! lol

Sorry. Won't happen. You'll sit in his waiting room forever... ignored... forgotten...

Be careful if you're unlucky enough to land an appointment. Instead of having his patients listen to music while they wait, he sits a walkie-talkie in the waiting room and just talks into his all day long. Nonstop. Once I saw one of his waiting patients spontaneously gush buckets of blood from their ears. Horrible horrible sight. :(

Was that patient Romo? Because if it was...we are doomed!
