During the off season? Please, it’s year round with this guy and no I don’t understand why people continually bring him up when he has NOTHING to do with this team! Sure, start another Dak theead or Jarwin, at least they’re relevant. Just like the same people who can’t not drool over Romo on a daily basis, I can’t not click on the hundreds of Romo threads and not say something so put me on ignore or get used to it.

He made it look so easy. This was gonna be his year. If a rookie QB could come in and win 13 games imagine what Romo would have done. Don’t get me wrong I think Dak is a good QB and going to get better. But Romo was seasoned and had his machanics, release, footwork and reading defenses and command of the audibles down to a science.

I don't think Carroll was signed to fix our CB problem. I think the team knew they were going to go heavy on CB in the draft, but they also needed a veteran in the mix since Carr and Claiborne were going to be gone.

Romo made it look easy? Romo's first throw was inches from getting intercepted, and that's because he badly overthrew T-Will and 5 yards further inside than where it should have been. Romo's 2nd throw was a dump off underneath to McFadden. That pass was badly behind McFadden, but McFadden made a great reach behind catch. Finally, it took a trick play to hit a wide open T-Will. I wouldn't say all of that looked easy.

I wouldn't say all of that looked easy.

I agree, the first pass wasn't good, but if the DB didn't even touch it, you can't say it was nearly intercepted. The dump off to McFadden was exactly where and when it was supposed to be, as McFadden stopped and turned around. That was the design of the play. And I have no idea why you're calling the completion to Williams a "trick play"...and even if it was a trick play, isn't that one of the things everyone says is missing from this offense?

Oh, look! Romo's first pass actually looked like it grazed the iggles DB's fingertips. Hmm, sure looked like it luckily wasn't intercepted.

On that dump off to McFadden that you said, "The dump off to McFadden was exactly where and when it was supposed to be"... this screenshot shows differently. What is that? Oooh, that's Darren McFadden reaching back, behind and out with his right arm to make an actually amazing one-handed catch-and-run.

If that is what one calls an "exactly where and when it was supposed to be" type of throw, no one should ever complain about any Dak throw that is not hitting his receivers square in their chest.

As for a stop-n-go trick play at the goal line to score an easy wide open TD, it would be nice if it were ever called once in the 3 past years of Dak. We agree there.

Seriously...There are plenty of legit drives orchestrated by Romo and the offense worth mentioning, this really isn't one of them. He was lucky he didn't get picked off on the first pass.
I wish Romo got as much support when he played.

I wish Romo got as much support when he played.

He got as much support as Dak gets right now. Now that he is gone lots are singing his praises. I remember when Romo played there was page after page of Romo threads. Most were not in his favor. Same holds true now. Looks like JJ likes Dak and unless something drastic changes he will be the starter for years to come.

1. That was his first real game action since week 12 of the prior year. He comes off the bench and leads the only TD drive of the game.

2. He likely throws a beautiful TD to Dez of Carroll hadn't of mugged him.

3. A stop and go is not a trick play.

Romo had some rust but I thought he looked pretty good. I was assuming the egirls would want to end him but he read the defense and took what they game him. He threw plenty of passes in his career that were near picks.

A foot to his right? One doesn't extend their arm fully extended out, away and behind their moving path if the football was only a foot to one's right. The picture is clear enough to show McFadden's arm fully extended. One can even see his white colored glove attached to his extended arm.​
