Was intrigued by him while watching "Training Camp Live"

Watched some of his film and was very impressed. Guy is 6'2 and has great length and plays pretty physical. Hope they sign him and bring him to camp so we can see what he has.

Fields with his height, long arms and speed is someone to keep an eye on. Let's see how he holds up after 2 weeks of training camp where the competition will be heightened. He's making a huge jump from Texas A&M Commerce.

How does this guy go undrafted??

He looked fantastic in drills yesterday as well.

Glorydaysrback,

If you're reading this thread this is one of the guys I was talking about.

Fields looks slow and he is underweight for FS as well.

He goes undrafted because he's 6'3", 183. He ran a 4.70 at his pro day. He had a 29 inch vertical. There are linebackers and defensive ends that put up better numbers. Heck, Gregory would be a better player at FS than this guy.

Why not bring on the next Richard Sherman that should have been a 1st round selection. :muttley:

His film looks good but the competition is certainly lacking....however, DB could be the biggest weakness left on the roster.

He's from my alma mater. He does remind me of Sherman. Very smart player much like Sherman, recognizes the play way ahead of time. Able to spot the ball at all times. Wish he was faster, but we will see. IMO he has the best recognition/ ball awareness of any DB on our current roster.

Sometimes the workouts don't get it right. He may have never run a 40 before and didn't get pro help to prepare. The vertical is worse but even that could be improved with Woicik.

He does lack combine explosion but he looks like he can make up for it with quick feet, recognition of the football, and a reach that should give him a advantage in press coverage.

Seems to me back in the day...Everson Walls measureables were not the greatest either.....but......he played the ball as good as anyone. As Landry said--he gives some plays up, but he takes quite a few away also.
