The Chicago Tribune believes defensive coordinator Ron Rivera leaving the Bears is a "long shot scenario."

It may come down to a money issue, but Rivera isn't under contract through 2007 so once the Super Bowl is over, he'll be a free agent.

how does what that second line says prove that him leaving is a "long shot scenario"??? especially given the fact that the Chicago is not usually an organization to pay coaches big money and Jerry is ready to open the checkbook big time

I agree.

There appears to be no connection at all between the title and the body. Maybe they meant to say "returning to Chicago."

Money makes the world go 'round. As long as Jerrah has the deep pockets and wants the guy, NOTHING is a long shot.

It doesn't give a reason why they think he is a long shot.
