NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that among Chad Johnson, Anquan Boldin, and Roy Williams, Williams is the most likely to be traded Saturday.
Schefter believes Dallas is the most likely landing spot for Williams. Williams, who's in the final year of his rookie contract, played collegiately at Texas. Williams could cost the Cowboys first- and second-round picks.

the only way i would support a move like this is if we do NOT use a 1st round pick on a RB. But we cannot draft a RB in the 1st round...pay Barber like a 1st rounder and expect to get the retrun on investment if we also have to figure out how to get the ball to Witten, Owens, Williams, Glenn etc....If we start running the ball like we used to, then we won't pass enough to justify the expenditure on Owens, Williams and Witten. So I am on board with this if we pick a RB in the 3rd or 4th round

I would definitely go a #28 and a 2nd for RW.

Trade back from #22 into the early 2nd to pick up an extra 3rd, and you still got 4 picks in the top 100 to address CB and RB.

Exactly.

But I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high.

Whatever you do, don't start writing down hypothetical 3 WR set formations of Roy Williams, Terrel Owens, Terry Glenn with Jason Witten as the TE and Chris Johnson or Jamaal Charles as the nickel back.

I like RW but not enough to give up our 2nd. We need that to draft a rb after we take a cb at #22. :D

Since Roy Williams is in the last year of his contact wouldn't the Cowboys need to have a new contract in place before any trade?

Like someone else said, if we are gonna do 28 and a second for Roy, we need to go CB, NOT RB at 22....

Listening to Dallas quack radio station had a rumor of a 3 way deal between Detroit, Kansas City and Dallas if McFadden falls to #5. Detroit gets McFadden, we get Roy, KC gets #15, #45, Spears and Carpenter.

KC then moves back up to #8 for Albert or Clady or Williams and up to #11 for also one of those 3.

Sounds to good to be true. But if we can get Roy and not lose anything but Spears and Carpenter, then do it Jerry.

IMO, it ain't going to happen.

I agree.

There would be a RB in the third round.

I think it might take more than that Theo.
I remember when everyone was raggin' on me for saying I'd do it for our 1st and 3rd a month or so ago.

Guys, I know RW is a freak but is he really a speed guy? Is he a stretch the field guy. I'm wrestling with how good he really is.

A first AND a 2nd. Ehhhh. I dont know what to think.

Yes I want him, but that is pricey. If we do that, I want to get back into the 2nd so we can pick up a decent RB.

Ideally my choice would be to package our first, our 100 overall, and a mid round pick next year.

Then again I'm sitting on my couch w/ no experience in this. If we move our 2nd rounder w/ 28, I just hope we move back up into the 2nd. I think there are still some quality players that will be contributors for us.

Whatever. Just get Roy in Dallas.
