Listening to Dallas quack radio station had a rumor of a 3 way deal between Detroit, Kansas City and Dallas if McFadden falls to #5. Detroit gets McFadden, we get Roy, KC gets #15, #45, Spears and Carpenter.

KC then moves back up to #8 for Albert or Clady or Williams and up to #11 for also one of those 3.

Sounds to good to be true. But if we can get Roy and not lose anything but Spears and Carpenter, then do it Jerry.

IMO, it ain't going to happen.

Not that I doubt you, personally, Sandy but I don't see this happening at all. I'll certainly take a huge helping of crow if I'm wrong though.

either one of our 1st rounders this year and a conditional pick(between a 2nd-4th rounder) in next years draft.

Actually we would not need to do it right away
I find it hard to believe that Jerry would give a first and second for Roy without a new contract in place. Why would he do that since Roy is in the last year of his contract and would be able to demand anything, no matter how ridiculous, or else he will walk as a free agent.

You can bet that any trade will have Dallas negotiating a long term deal for Williams.

But when?

Any long term contract would have to be made before any trade happens.

The Cowboys would probably put a clause in the trade that guaranteed them a pick from the Lions (in 09) if a long term deal wasn't reached or if Williams was not on the Cowboys roster in 09.

I'm not sure but you can bet that Boys wouldn't give up that kind of compensation for a 1 year player/

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that among Chad Johnson, Anquan Boldin, and Roy Williams, Williams is the most likely to be traded Saturday.
Schefter believes Dallas is the most likely landing spot for Williams. Williams, who's in the final year of his rookie contract, played collegiately at Texas. Williams could cost the Cowboys first- and second-round picks.
No NO NO. do not trade our first and 2nd round pick for RW. a one yes. but not a 2 too.dont do it Jerry.

If we can recoup the 2nd and another 3rd with our other first I would be all over it. We need another threat opposite TO. A rookie ain't gonna cut it. The time is NOW!

Even better if we can get someone to give us the same deal Cleveland gave us for #22 last year, which would be this year's 2nd and next year's 1st.
BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's also playing for the Lions and has had Joey Harrington and Jon Kitna as a QB.

A different scenario may make him a better player.

Look at what Leonard Davis did. And comparably, Roy is playing better than Davis did before he came to Dallas.

Roy Williams is what I've been hoping for since discussion of this first broke. And it seems more likely now than it did then. So I am wanting this more than anything else we could possibly do in this years draft.

If we can score a top notch CB with one of our number ones, then I would be stoked.

It's way to much to give up. i would love to have the guy but that price is just to high. we have other needs.

Dude our team is stacked. We are in position to overpay a little to get something that can really help us.

A first & a second are too much to give. This team still has needs. I think a the 28th pickand a the newly acquired fourth sound more realistic.

Wasn't he dinged up last year?

We need those extra picks for another CB and more importantly the RB--my vote is for Chris Johnson.

Unless we trade down from 22, to get another second, I'm just not sure we can afford a 1st & 2nd for RW. I'd rather draft a young WR there and develop.
