Again!?!?! Are teams running away from him? His play on Leinart could have been his only tackle.

Its a good thing when your SS isnt making all the tackels.

Agreed. Darren Woodson was never our top tackler during the Super Bowl years, but when things got bad, Woodson's tackles went up.

Corelation? I don't know.

Yet another dropped int.....watch it in slowmo and it was right there for him, a very catchable ball.

The play with Leinert was mind boggling........run up there a hit the guy....geez.

Trips over his own feet on a play....luckly the game was out of hand.

I was once a big Roy fan, but he's making it hard to be one now. He's average right now whenever he is beyond 10 yards from the line of scrimmage.

You must account for all the plays where he's in position and COVERING hence not hearing his name alot.

Yea, screw the fact that he's among the leaders in turnovers created in the entire NFL. Screw the fact that he's given up 2 TDs all year in coverage.

Why don't you get the rest of the low IQ fans to start a lynch mob?

Int----hey thats probably why hes a stong safety, not a TE or HBack

Leinart---gotta cut em' some slack, dont know the defence called, responsiblity etc..........

the Slip in Cover 2 that allowed a deep out-- gotta make the play....what can you say, didnt see a TE seam route, saw Henry go underneath with a crossing pattern...........

Guys, we played 6 men in the box ... AND still contained Edge.

This is what happens when we play Cover 2. Both Safeties back in coverage.

We did not consider their 2.8 yards per carry running game a threat, but we did have to worry about those BIG WR's ... ala Jax.

No need for that.

I agree with you, but no need for that.

Too bad the Cowboys draft has WR & DE written all over it.

As a matter of fact, I can't remember the last time Roy made a game changing play

Remember, a GREAT game for a safety is one that you dont hear his name called. That said, Roy only blew the QB TD play that I saw. Which was bad mind you, he got juked by a rookie slow QB.

If he runs up there to hit Leinart on that play and there happened to be a guy behind him, everyone would be calling for his head because "he was too busy trying to get the big hit instead of covering".

Roy can't win with some of you fools. He lays back covering the endzone not knowing if there was recievers in the area... Leinart throws a pump fake and Roy obviously has to respect that. Good play by Leinart on the pump fake and Roy was simply at a disadvantage.

I'll take a SS that gets caught alone with a QB that's more of a THROWING threat than a RUNNING threat that happens to get beat by a good fake than a FS who gets burned for an 84 yard bomb because he's too aggressive against the run (Sean Taylor) any day.

Are you being serious?

This Year:
Week 2 vs. Washington - Roy intercepts a pass, and ends a drive that might have led to a game-tying TD.

Week 8 vs. Carolina - Roy intercepts a pass, and virtually ends any chances that the Panthers had to come back.

Last Year:
I know there's the Philadelphia game, not sure/too lazy to check if there's any other games.

You'd have to go all the way back to the... well... I don't remember... what... only 3 weeks ago against CAROLINA.

Geez. No wonder some of u people criticize Roy so much... so quick to forget the good and harp on the few mistakes.

I'm sorry if I offended you. I try to read most of your posts and respect your opinion.

It's just that I get tired of people basing their assinine opinions on stat lines. Dallas held a team below their season average in both points and yards at their place with the sideline of their most emotional moment in history yet people feel the need to bash players who played well.

Oh, you didn't offend me.

I just didn't want this thing to get out of control.

Fully agree with you though. Roy Williams is playing some good football.

No, it wasn't. He was moving fast to make the tackle on James and the ball hit him as he was making his forward progress.

And possibly let a receiver slide behind you and make the catch?

The original post asks if teams are running away from Roy. For our "In the Box" safety to have 0 tackles in 2 out of 3 weeks is rather strange, don't you think?

He's not an "In the box" safety when Keith Davis is in the game. So NO, it doesn't surprise me a bit that he isn't making tackles because our front 7 are doing great agaisnt the run and AZ spent much of the game dumping off to the sidelines.
