Roy's ego won't allow him to attend. He didn't even want to hear what M. Irvin has to say about receiving techniques.

Since they obviously need QB's too, I say Tony leads an effort to go with Miles, Roy and anyone elese that wants to tag along as well - especially Ogletree and Hurd as it might be invaluable for them.

By the way, of all the QB's in the world, wonder how Larry wanted Tony to be apart?

Unfortunately I agree. A mediocre receiver blowing off the advice from a Hall of Famer is ridiculous.

The important to thing to note is that Fitz was hosting the camp, but Jerry Rice and Cris Carter were the primary instructors.

If Roy and Miles choose to partake in it, then it can only help the team.

I say, why not?

Didn't you know he has the best hands in the league?

Who's the guy on the board that has sent letters to the Cowboys in the past that may have been read and possibly considered? Was that Hostile?

Whomever it was needs to send a letter in to the Cowboys and urge them to get Roy to attend this camp.

Given his statements over the last week, maybe he's become humble enough to attend.

If Roy is as stubburn and arrogant and some suggest here, then I have no hope for him in the future.

How many times does the statement "pride goeth before the fall" have to be demonstrated before people finally learn from others mistakes?

I'll believe it when I see it with RoyW. I think he has too much pride to take advice from any other players. He might from a well-respected coach but not from a player with the way he blew off Michael Irvin who probably was his childhood idol.

:laugh2: Some times it amazes me how people can delude themselves. Roy made himself a laughingstock by saying that. That and his play.

He has shown more skills than he is currently showing though, so hopefully he can come through. I started drinking early, so sorry if this doesn't make sense.

What irks me is RW could be better if he were motivated more. My problem with him is he has all the great physical tools, but a mediocre, nonchalant attitude.

Again whether Roy or Miles choose to do a receivers camp, it can only help. Same as Crayton took in speed training in the offseason. It helped.

Personally, I'd blow off Mike, too, if all he did was ream me on TV.

Well, obviously I disagree and if Roy is that fragile and unwilling to learn from others, then I don't see how he will ever improve.

The keys to this camp, imo, are what is taught by Jerry Rice and Chris Carter with the intangible benefits of being around other great receivers and see what rubs off.

No one is perfect and if Roy thinks he is, then he is deluded and guilty of the very thing the people running the camp warn against: Complacency

I agree. What he did pre-Dallas, he obviously has skill. He just seems like he doesn't want to put in the work to be good.
