Last week, when he had a subpar game, this place was flooded with Roy Williams bashing threads.. Today, after he had himself a nice game, there isn't a Roy Williams thread to be found anywhere.. Just thought it was fair to make a thread applauding his good game if he is gonna get crap all week for a subpar (I still won't call it bad) game..

He got good consistent pressure on Green when he blitzed, pushing the RB back a few times, once even pushing the RB into Green and hitting him as he threw, causing a big incompletion on third down.. He had great recognition and pursuit on the first reverse.. He had the interception.. Nobody caught a ball on him all day.. He had some nice tackles and showed some great intensity.. He was the only one who realized and reacted when Green meant to spike the ball and he accidentally fumbled it.. Just a very good all around game from Roy..

You know what's frustrating though? I know that this will still turn into a bashing thread about two or three posts from now..

They just done fell off the main page. He had a good game, deserves some props for it.

You know how they are by now, E&R. :)

I've never bashed Roy. To me hes a leader , a very good football player. Hard hitter, and this can only get better. now with Hamlin back there...and lets just wait for Newman to be set. I think this defense can be very very good. and of course Roy can have another good year.

GOOD JOB ROY!!! :D

Good for you, EMMITnROY. Some guys here have made it a personal mission to help the local media talk Row out of another pro bowl appearance.

I love it when Roy does well. How can you not. When he does well, the team in general does well.

:banghead: I ment to say it's hard being a roy supporter... on this site... because of all of the backlash you take from it..... Words fail me again.....

It's easy to be a Roy supporter if you're smart. :)

that's true.. and yeah, I had no idea there were a few already.. the bash threads ended up being like 200 pages long and lasted all week.. apparently the Roy appreciation threads have a much shorter life span.. ;)

thanks for spreading the love in this thread guys, keep it up!!! if you bashed him last week, show some love this week, be a man, I know you can do it!

Roy played nickle linebacker yesterday and did well. I really like Roy and Burnett in the LB position on passing downs.

So we are supposed to applaud him for playing like he supposed to  and one game at that, sorry but until he starts playing again like he did his first 2 years i'm withholding judgement.

I'm just kidding, he did much better this week and deserves praise for his good play this last weekend. Hope he keeps it up this season and they can use him more like they did his first two years and less like they have these last few years. He does some things very well and this past weekend is a good example of that.

I love having Roy Williams but like any other player he will be called out by fans and media alike when he has a bad game. I would agree some go overboard after a bad game but Roy is a key player and is expected to produce. I thought he played better this week and hope he continues.

I think he was put in a position that allowed him to use his skillset better this week. It also allows Bradie James to get off the field on 3rd down. James by the way has played very well.

Did he give up any passes Sunday? I haven't re-watched the game, but I can't remember a single pass he gave up off-hand.

Not really I know on one play he was in a zone where the WR caught the ball but Roy made the tackle short of the 1st.
