Out of curiosity, why do the same people who hate our Roy Williams think that we can trade him, considering that he has a big contract?

Because they think that the other 31 teams really doesn't know that he sucks like they do.

I'd definitely take a look at making a deal for him. It'd probably take at least one of the first rounders.

Shaun Rogers is pretty talented, but I don't think I'd trade for him. I don't think he's very motivated.

Not only the contract, but those same people who bashes Roy thinks he has a huge trade value. Now, how can they say he is a horrible SS and yet he can be used to make a huge trade as if he is a great player?

I willing to give our Roy the benefit of the doubt, and say he's just not good in a 3-4 defense. There was talk when we first hired Parcells that Roy might not be good for a 3-4.

You play safety slightly different. But when did Roy get bad? When we switched to 3-4?

what is the contract and how much would the hit be? the cap has gone up so much in the last 3 years that it won't be long before a trade is feasable and that will only fire up the roy haters.

My thought is that with 4 linebackers, he is not needed as close to the line of scrimmage, therefore, he is used more towards the secondary which he just doesn't seem to have the speed to scare opposing teams. Not saying that he can't cover a tightend at times but just seems to lack good speed to cover a WR when needed.
