I know the fans want them traded. Not so sure the team does. Color me a skeptic of this.

Wow. Three former No. 1 picks. Ouch.

I don't take draft/trade rumors seriously until mid April right before the draft.

This is posturing time.

I know for a FACT that our current roster will be different at the start of the season. You can even quote me on this for later reasons.

Then trade Ocho to Detroit for the other Roy Williams, if at all possible, probably not!

Really? Are you kidding? That's the most intelligent job or predicting the future I've ever seen.

:p

I'm guessing you were being sarcastic so I couldn't help but be sarcastic as well.

1) Not going to happen (salary cap).

2) I don't think Chad would fit in here (too many egos involved).

Trade 'em fans haven't been watching the league so much over the cap era.

The influence of stupid talk radio and Madden's games....
That's a dang fact Ab. Think about this, other than draft day tell me the last player we made a trade for. The answer is in white below.

"I know alot of people one here want roy traded. but then what? who replaces him that would realistically be an "upgrade"

If it was me, I would sign Hamlin, move him to SS, move Henry to FS if you could find a good FA CB or draft pick to take Henry's spot. Williams is a liability due to his lack of coverage skills. He can't cover TE's let alone WR's, he needs to be gone or every team we play next year will eat his lunch in the passing game.

When you are talking about Jerry Jones, trades are always a real possiblity. I mean he made the biggest trade in history with the Walker Trade. Also did the Keyshawn/Galloway trade. He knows we are right on the verge of a Super Bowl and one more superstar player can get us over the hump. I would trade any of those players for Chad Johnson, and i believe Jerry would too.

I've come to believe that those folks on the board who defend Roy do so because they bought a 31 jersey and hope against hope that some day they can wear it with pride.

I am still amazed at the radical difference a year makes.

A year ago, any Roy Williams criticism would be a ten page thread replete with stats and flag waving. A trade Roy thread would have generated a serious beatdown by the usual suspects.

Now?

It's remarkable.

Look, if Cincy was willing to do this, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But there's no way they'd go for it. It'd be incredibly lopsided in our favor. I doubt we could get a third round pick for Roy at this point.

Speaking of Johnson, as much as I acknowledge his abilities, he would not be my first choice in terms of big-name receivers. I'd much rather have the "other" (or is it now "real"?) Roy Williams. Both are real longshots, in any case. But it'd be nice, wouldn't it?
