Roy Williams vs Sean Taylor vs Adam Archuleta revisted

All we heard all offseason was how superior both Taylor and Archuleta were to our very own Roy Williams, how he couldnt cover, how he was a dirty SOB, how he is the scum of the football world, yadda yadda yadda. Well, here are their respective numbers thus far this season:

Roy Williams:

23 tackles
3 INTs
7 Passes Defensed
1 Forced Fumble
2 Fumble Recoveries
1 Touchdown given up

Sean Taylor:

47 tackles
0 INTs
3 Passes Defensed
3 Forced Fumbles
0 Fumble recoveries
3 Touchdowns given up

Adam Archuleta:

49 tackles
0 INTs
1 Pass Defensed
0 Fumbles Forced
0 Fumbles Recovered
2 Touchdowns given up

So, let's review, Williams has more INTs, passes defensed, and fumble recoveries than both Archuleta and Taylor COMBINED. Williams, supposedly the "worst coverage safety in football", has given up 1 TD to Archuleta and Taylor's combined 5 and has 7 passes defensed, nearly double what Taylor and Archuleta have combined.

not to mention the reason for the tackles being down is because our front seven has been great stopping the run whereas the Commanders have the worst pass defense in the league, allowing for many many tackle oppurtunities by safeties. oh and with a 2-5 record im sure their defense is on the field just a little longer than ours. :laugh1:

Another thing, I noticed that RW has half the tackles which mean that our running defense is awesome. Roy is spending his time in coverage while the others are having to help out in the running game. hahahaha, I hope they help out in the running game this week so TO and company can carve them up deep.

Wow, Arch and ST have alot of tackles. RB's are always breakin into that secondary because their front seven is playing horribly.

Only 4 pass defended by BOTH Arch and ST, and 5 TD's.

I cant stand Skins fans who say Roy cant cover...... Look at ST, he has been picked on all season!!!

Only way I know of is to watch the games.

I'm curious to know the split on the Archuleta/Taylor TD's given up. The last count I had had Taylor at 3 TD's given up but that was only up through the Jacksonville game.

I'd be interested to know how many TD's Troy Polamalu has given up.

i agree, and what's funny is that EVERYONE but Snyder, Gibbs, and Williams seems to have known this before the skins made him one of the highest paid S's in the league.
