Does anyone have any experience with the rugged laptops? I'm looking for one that is durable but still has all the bells and whistles.

Panasonic has that "Tough Book" line you see tons of commercials for, but I know nothing about their specs etc.

We tried them at our office for about 2 weeks. To be honest...I hated them. They're very difficult to see outside, the keyboard was alittle small, and the screen was tiny. Don't really know about any of the other ones.

I've dropped my Dell Latitude D800 at least 5 times on a cement floor (my room is not finished yet, getting carpet soon)... a small scratch on the corner is all that came of it.

I have the 820, and have treated it pretty bad, but she's still working! Just don't ever leave it out in your vehicle when it's freezing outside. Did that the other night, and when I brought it in, that thing ran about as slow as Bledsoe trying to escape pressure up the middle.

After warming up though...the fan kicked off, and it was running fine.
