Everyone did assume he was going to the Raiders. I can't think of anyone else who would give him a starting job.

If that is true then I called it about a month ago that if any team picked him up it would be the Raiders. With the Raiders likely to draft a QB with their 1st pick Bledsoe would allow them to bring their QB up slowly instead of just throwing him to the wolves.

I doubt the veracity of this "rumor".

But to think, they set records for offensive ineptitude last season.

I know that Bledsoe wants to be a starter, but doesn't he realize that he may actually get killed behind that pitiful o-line?

We thought he looked bad with our o-line, but Oakland's line couldn't block a junior varsity blitz.

If this is true, RIP Drew.

This is why the Raiders will not be good for a very long time. Right now is the perfect time for Kiffin to grow with a young QB like Russell or Quinn. Bledsoe is not a starter in the league anymore. You have to have some mobility to play QB now, he has none. Even guys like Brady and Manning move around these days. Look at the trouble Leftwich is having in Jax now, all because he cannot move.

Calvin Johnson is a great player, no argument here, but Russell or Quinn make more sense to me. Just like Leinart and Cutler made more sense to me of Huff last year.

Well, maybe their O-line won't be that bad this year. They let Langston Walker go, signed Jeremy Newberry who was pretty good before he got injured last year, and Gallery can't be as bad as he was last year, can he?

Bledsoe's biggest problem is not his lack of mobility. He can't make correct decisions and get rid of the ball fast enough to be successful.

His lack of mobility is the underlying problem. Because of that he could not buy more time and take less hits. He is shell shocked because of that.

Bledsoe has been successful in the NFL. Sure, everyone here hates him, but it is clear that he has shown over and over again that he's a tough SOB who can be a very good QB in the right situation. There is a reason why he's been in the league so long.

I think the Raiders should do the following.

1. Trade Randy Moss.
2. Draft Calvin Johnson with the top pick.
3. Use their 2nd round pick for their QB of the future.
4. Use the rest of their picks for O-line.
5. Sign a Vet QB like Bledsoe.
6. Pray.

Absolutely the worst franchise in the NFL right now. Sad that a once proud franchise is this bad.

Not sure there is a guy in the 2nd worth a pick at QB. Maybe Trent Edwards in the 3rd though.

It will be Bledsoe that is thrown to the wolves.

Either him or Drew Stanton. Anyone would be better than Andrew Walters as their future.

True, if they can't improve their blocking up front he will struggle. If they can provide some protection he could be a big help to them as they have a chance to work with a rookie QB and get him up to speed before throwing him out there. Bledsoe is a warrior and will not back down from the challenge and I respect that about him
