Watching Don Harris on WOAI in San Antonio on the 10 o'clock news.

He said "There are reports indicating the Cowboys are interested in free agent linebacker LaVar Arrington. Arrington visited Cincinnati today."

What the...? Has anyone read about this?

I don't know Dale, but I do sense a hornets nest being stirred up.

A friend of mine called me on the phone earlier saying he heard on the radio that the cowboys were interested in Arrington. I didn't bother posting it here cuz I get annoyed when people come here with the "My friend heard on the radio" BS posts. I just figured he heard wrong, but apparantly not.

Still sounds like speculation to me though.

By the way, my friend lives in San Antonio so it's probably the same report.

Interesting. Yeah, Harris and the WOAI gang are pretty much the same crew that appear on The Ticket 760.

Don Harris is an arrogant SOB but hes never been one that has struck me as the John Clayton or PFT Steeler fan so called writer dude.

I dont know how well hed fit considering his penchant for freelancing. Instincts dont help when youre mildly ********.

No thanks. Let's get some of our own guys wrapped up (i.e. Whitten, R. Williams, B. James). Arrington just doesn't seem like a fit here in Dallas. I know that L.T. used to improvise on plays and he shanged the game a bit from hi s position, but Arrington seems to free-lance a bit too much for a 3-4 defensive scheme. Not, only that, but he has said that he doesn't want to play in Dallas. We should move quickly away from this one.

Yeah, I mean he flatly said "reports" say yadda yadda...not "my sources."

But ******, Don, where are these reports? :laugh2:

Well, it is Dale. Few on this forum have as much (inside knowledge) cred.

Personally, I doubt it. But Dale always deserves b.o.d.

That is the first time he has even been mentioned for the Cowboys. NFL Network reports he will sign with Miami or Jacksonville.

Thought Arrington said he had no interest in playing for us.

Takes two to tango.

I'd love Arrington, but I highly doubt it's gonna happen. He's said on numerous accounts, he doesn't want to wear the star. Of course money talks, but I don't think the Boys would offer him more than anyone else already has, so I doubt he'll stay for long, if he is in fact, visiting. Thanks for the heads up Dale.

Saladin, to be fair, all I did in this ordeal was simply watch the television. :)

And, not that I think he's coming here, but he left it open ended when he said he didn't want to come here...he said something to the effect of, 'but ya never know.' Money talks with this guy.

THat's probably the best point made regarding Arrington to Dallas.

He doesn't want to be here.

I have no doubt that this is true - JJ has a way of talking to players of luring them in. Lavar comes here -sees TO and Roy the Star - the Ring of Honor - it's almost like being a Yankee , you get wrapped up in the surroundings. Next thing you know he's signing a Contract to what Steven Jones says we can do smartly.

Prediction - by Sunday Afternoon -Lavar is wearing a Cowboy hat.

Talent notwithstanding, we cannot have Lavar and TO on the same team.
