I will say this though....So far the continued spotty health issues of DMC and R.Williams are not very encouraging...if anything they, at this point, tend to reinforce what many thought of them in the first place.

This.

DMacF's the key here ..

Other possible names available are emergency support I think.

If they can slowly bring Darren along..that's the best of both sides here.

But we were dealing with Murray in the same way for his first 3 years with us.

Limiting his carries..running plays that favored his style.Giving others options.

I see no difference here. Now.

None of us could possibly imagine Murray..

had he stayed..

being able to put up Eric Dickerson numbers AGAIN in 2016.

So I assume the team felt the same, that's why he's in Philly.

Meaning if we can get a combined 1,000-1500 yds. out of our stable of horses..

We sit pretty.

If not, next year we draft a RB.

Easy Peasy .

There has got to be many options that would address the RB situation so much better.

Let's face it. Any back that gets released now is going to have a Cowboys rumor attached to it. If 10 Backs get cut, expect 10 rumors.

I am only sure of one thing. Only one of McFadden or Williams makes the 53. Only so much room in the trainers room.

Both of them needs to be replaced with younger, healthy RBs that at the very least have a possibility of becoming a quality player. As it stands, Dallas could easily go into the season with four RBs. 2 of the 4 are injuries waiting to happen and they offer little to no chance of ever being anything more than what they are now.

He's been a highly effective short-yardage back. If we need someone like that, it would be reason to bring in him for a look.

In his career, he has converted on 75 percent of his third- or fourth-down runs. In the past three seasons, it's 80.8 percent. Last year, he went 5 for 5 (100 percent). Just for comparison, DeMarco Murray is at 71.9 percent for his career (70.4 percent last year and 71.7 percent for the past three years), and Adrian Peterson is at 70.5 percent for his career (66.7 percent for the past three years).

Shonn who? He is still in the league? If there is ANY consideration for him it wreaks of desperation.

he's so much better then this thread indicates.

I realize I'm a hawk fan, and have fond memories that might be causing my defensive posture, but you all make it sound like he us running at a 2 yard per average clip or something. His career average is 4.1 yards per, and he gave 4.2 last year on the 7 carries a game he received. Plus he can pass block and catch fairly well, although his catch radius is bad.
