My buddy just sent me a text saying that 1310 said the boys offered Arizona Spears and 1st round pick for Boldin.

Is it true?

Did anybody else hear this?

The last I heard they called and asked about Boldin but the cards told them that he was not on the market.

Now...who knows if they offered a pick or not.

Thanks BP........................ it's a little steep and i'm not really sure about the implication on our ability to sign other players, namely Ware and Canty, but it sure is tempting. TO, Boldin, Witten, Crayton, MBIII, Felix..................Romo's stats would be unbelievable.

I'm not saying I wouldn't mind Boldin on the team, but I have never really seen him play. What is the stats on him? Whats so special about him?

I would do this. I like Spears as he is a good run stopper but Ratliff & Hatcher can make up for him.

He is pretty much the Marion Barber of WRs in the sense of his reckless abandon and punishing style of play. He is known for giving his all on and off the field, and is not shy of the dangerous catch. Unlike a Roy Williams, his injuries can't be labelled a result of being soft, whether the accusations against RW are true or not. He is deadly after the catch and is a premier WR in the game. His stats are pretty much up there with the best and he produces whenever he steps on the field.

A lot of people argue he is better than LF, and Larry Fitzgerald is a beast. To them, Boldin is the actual number 1 receiver on Arizona.

Bill Parcells, I believe, once said he was the best WR in the game.

Are you sure it wasn't Spears, Carp, and a #1? ;)

I can never get numbers to format well, either.

Boldin would be a great addition to the Cowboys. I just don't think a trade can be pulled off.

Boldin is practically like a TO, fast, big & strong. And he has a VERY good work ethic.

6'1'' 217 LBS

He has a few injury problems as he was out last year for 4 games and 2 games in 05' and 6 games in 04'

1091 yards per year
6 TDs per year
13.2 Yds/Catch
82 catches per year

Don't ever do this again.

I think I heard somewhere that Boldin was the fastest ever to 300 catches or something.

After last year, pretty much everyone KNOWS Fitz is AZs #1

I didn't hear Carp's name mentioned..................... it seems like the lights might be coming on for him,.... finally. Besides, with the injuries (albeit minor) at LB, i would imagine they would want to hold on to him.

Of course we made an offer. But that one isnt realistic

I think it would take another pick and also Hurd/Curtis

Yeah, i know.......................... i just don't know if we can afford to sign him. We have spent a lot of money already and we still have to sign others soon.

Can we still bring in a big name WR, that is looking for a lot of money?

He isnt that fast.... he is a beast and is good after the ball but he isnt fast at all. Thats why he fell in draft. He made plays at FSU but I think he ran a Peter Warrickesque 4.69 at the Combine.

Then again he abused A Henry deep but thats not saying much since Henry might be 2nd slowest DB on team
